Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets NFL Player Props (9/11/2022)
Contents
The New York Jets host the Baltimore Ravens in a week one matchup that sees Jets’ backup quarterback Joe Flacco face off against his former team. With starter Zach Wilson out with a torn meniscus, Flacco will have a challenging time against a good Ravens defense. But will Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson’s non-extension with the team over the last week, affect their ability to secure what seems like a sure win? With plenty of good players to choose from, let’s get into who has the best player-prop odds for this Week 1 matchup.

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Under 59.5 Rush Yards (-110)
This is by no means any form of praise to the New York Jets. This bet all has to do with Lamar Jackson. Jackson recently ended contract extension negotiations with the Ravens after the team failed to offer anything worthwhile before his September 9th set-deadline. Lamar is betting on Lamar this season and while that sounds great, I wouldn’t expect the dual-threat quarterback to overtly put himself at risk when there is $200 million dollars on the table. Because it is part of his unique playing-style, I don’t expect Jackson to fully ditch the run but why risk a boat-load of money playing the New York Jets when a win seems very, very probable.
Jets RB Breece Hall Over 33.5 Rush Yards (-110)
With Joe Flacco under center, expect the Jets to run the ball more than usual on Sunday. Splitting carries between Michael Carter and Breece Hall, both players’ rushing prop totals are hovering around 32 to 33 depending on the sportsbook. While I believe both running backs will exceed their total, I am going to stick with Hall’s over for this week. A second-round pick out of Iowa State, Hall is a perfect pick for offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur’s offensive scheme as Jets’ head coach Rob Saleh will most likely defer to a 49ers-style offense of pounding the rock over and over again. Expect Hall to rush for 50+ yards in this one.
Jets WR Elijah Moore Over 55.5 Receiving Yards
Elijah Moore is one of the most underrated receivers in the NFL. After a tenured career at Ole Miss, Moore has stood out for the Jets in a crowded wide receiver room. While the team drafted OSU wide-out Garrett Wilson in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Moore had a productive 2021 season that should see him climb to the top of the depth chart for the Jets this season. Despite facing off against a good Ravens’ defense, Moore should be able to collect the bulk of passes in this week one matchup. Last season, Moore recorded 538 yards on only 43 receptions; expect much more yardage this season and that starts in against the Ravens on Sunday.
