Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots Player Prop Picks

The Baltimore Ravens visit the New England Patriots in Week 3 of the 2022-23 NFL season after losing to Miami in a shootout last week. The Patriots won last week in Pittsburgh to get their first win of the season. This is an interesting early season matchup too. Let’s take a look at some player prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.

Lamar Jackson Over 224.5 Passing Yards

Lamar Jackson is hungry this year to get that new contract, and you could just see it in his performance last week against Miami. Jackson is a difference-maker, so this is one of the better prop bets to bank on this week. New England does usually have a decent defense, and it played well last week after not having a good Week 1. Jackson is a different quarterback than Mitch Trubisky or even Tua Tagovailoa, so the New England defense is going to have difficulties here. The receivers the Ravens have are built around speed too, so expect Jackson to get passing yards just through that. Jackson may look to run a lot in this game too, but his arm is what makes him special. I like this bet the most in this game.

Mac Jones Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

I like this bet strictly because of how much the Ravens passing defense has gotten beat in the first two weeks. The Patriots offense hasn’t shown a lot to like so far, but they got to like this matchup based on how the defense played last week too. New England’s offense went under a bit of a makeover during the off-season and it seems like the players are still adjusting to that new offense. Mac Jones has shown that he can very good in his short time in the NFL too. This could be a breakout game for Jones too if everything goes well. Even though the receivers haven’t been great for New England, take this bet when looking at player props, it’s one of the more underrated ones available this weekend.

Mark Andrews Over 59.5 Receiving Yards

Andrews isn’t the fastest receiving option Baltimore has, but he’s easily the biggest and most reliable. Andrews has vaulted into the conversation for best tight end in the league next to Travis Kelce and George Kittle. Andrews had a quiet game to start the season in Week 1, but broke out last week with over 100 receiving yards. New England’s defense has shown up this year, as previously discussed, but Andrews is a difference-maker that’s going to cause issues for that defense. He’s also Jackson’s favorite receiving option so expect the Ravens to get Andrews going early and often in the game. He had a hot hand last week, so expect that to continue this week against a Patriot defense that is going to be aggressive. Based on the volume of targets alone, this bet seems like a very safe one when you look across this game.
