Bengals Vs. Browns (10/31/22) Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay Strategy + SGP Picks
On Monday Night Football in Week 8, we have a delightful matchup between two AFC North rivals who are fighting for playoff positioning. The Bengals are neck and neck with the Ravens for first place in the division while the Browns are fighting to buoy their season until Deshaun Watson can return from his suspension.
In this article, I’ll break down my favorite selections for a Same Game Parlay (SGP) for this matchup. In a SGP, we’re looking to combine multiple wagers that are likely to happen in conjunction with one another in an effort to boost our overall payout. Let’s work through our options for the Bengals vs. Browns game.

NFL Week 8 Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay
I’m taking the Bengals to cover the 3-point spread in this game, and you can use that in your SGP. However, I slightly prefer the correlation between the Bengals’ team total and the player props we’re looking to add. You can get the Bengals over 23.5 points at -126 odds on FanDuel, and I’ll add that to start here.
Next, I’m adding Joe Mixon Anytime Touchdown Scorer. Mixon leads the NFL with 27 touches inside the red zone, but they’ve only translated to two touchdowns. He’s clearly due for some positive regression, and that can start this week against a Cleveland defense that’s allowed 1.9 rushing touchdowns per game, the second-most in the NFL. If you want to boost your SGP with Joe Mixon first touchdown scorer at +550 odds, I don’t mind that approach.
In our player props article, I highlighted why Tyler Boyd is in a great position to succeed this week. He came through with 155 receiving yards last week against the Falcons, and he finds himself in a matchup against a similarly poor secondary this week. With Ja’Marr Chase now injured, I expect Boyd to be an integral part of the offense, and I’ll take his receiving prop over 61.5 yards.
Finally, I’m adding Joe Burrow over 263.5 passing yards here. I normally wouldn’t play that due to the juice – it’s at -130 odds on FanDuel – and his longest completion prop would be my preferred approach. However, Burrow had a whopping 481 passing yards last week, and his improved play has coincided with the Bengals utilizing more shotgun offense to a high level over the last two weeks.
The Bengals were in shotgun 89% of the time in the first three quarters against the Falcons, and they had the seventh-highest pass rate on the week at 68.2%. It’s exciting to see Burrow’s success improving after a rocky start to the year, and that should continue against the Browns’ 28th-ranked pass defense by DVOA. Cleveland will also be without Denzel Ward, their best cornerback, this week.
Remember that these SGPs are a higher payout but also include more variance and risk, so don’t play more than a quarter or half unit on these. With those Bengals-oriented props put together, here’s the SGP I’m looking at:
- Cincinnati Bengals Over 23.5 Total Points (-126)
- Joe Mixon Anytime Touchdown Scorer (-120)
- Tyler Boyd Over 61.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
- Joe Burrow Over 263.5 Passing Yards (-130)
Full SGP Odds: +561 ($10 wins $56.19)
