Jahmyr Gibbs Week 17 Anytime Touchdown (DET @ SF)

  • With David Montgomery out, Gibbs has been seeing a huge increase in workload. The second-year back went from a 56% snap share to 75% from Weeks 14 to 15 when Montgomery went on injured reserve. The Lions are reportedly going to play their starters for a full slate of snaps this week despite the game being inconsequential toward their seeding, as next week they host the Vikings with the top seed on the line. Even if Gibbs gets a few series off in the second half, he’s a good bet to find pay dirt early with at least five red zone touches in four of his last five games, including nine last week when the Lions won comfortably in Chicago. The Niners have allowed 1.3 rushing touchdowns per game, which is the second-highest mark in the NFL this year.

Isaac Guerendo Week 17 Anytime Touchdown (SF vs DET)

  • Guerendo might be a third-string back, but the rookie is looking at workhorse usage in Week 17. He saw a 94% opportunity share in Weeks 14 and 15 before suffering a hamstring injury that kept him out last Sunday, when Patrick Taylor flopped in a spot start. Guerendo is off the injury report and facing a Lions defense that has been diminished by injuries and is coughing up 4.7 yards per carry over its last three games. Guerendo scored on both of his red zone touches in Week 14 against the Bears, and Taylor failed to cash in on any of his four red zone touches last week, so it should be an easy decision for Kyle Shanahan’s staff if the 49ers are able to get inside the 10-yard line.

Deebo Samuel Week 17 Anytime Touchdown (SF vs DET)

  • The Niners are playing for pride at home, and Samuel has been the heartbeat of the team during its proud reign atop the NFC the past few years. He’s been trying to break out of his own slump that included uncharacteristically poor performances, and he found the end zone last week in Miami after going seven starts without a touchdown. Samuel carried five times for 25 yards in Week 17 and should be used as a runner or a threat on jet sweeps or end arounds near the goal line. Detroit is down top corner Carlton Davis (jaw) and has given up the second-most receiving yards per game (187.6) to wide receivers this season. Despite the down year, Samuel is ninth among receivers in YAC and still has a nose for the end zone.

Jameson Williams Week 17 Anytime Touchdown (DET @ SF)

  • Lions top receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown has seen an insane 11 red zone targets over Detroit’s last two games, so maybe the team will switch up some looks in this non-division game to save some great St. Brown plays for its Week 18 matchup against Minnesota. Either way, Williams is a huge part of this explosive offense with an 85% snap share and 89% route participation over his last two outings. He scored touchdowns in both games and draws an easier matchup than St. Brown this week with the Niners deploying excellent cornerback Deommodore Lenoir in the slot. Left cornerback Charvarius Ward has struggled to deal with speedsters like Williams, who is averaging the third-most yards per target (11.4) and fifth-most yards per catch (18.9) among receivers.
