Jeremiyah Love Anytime Touchdown (Notre Dame vs. Indiana)

  • Notre Dame’s lead back has scored in every game this season. posting 15 total rushing touchdowns. He has scored multiple touchdowns in three of his last four outings at home, requiring just seven carries to go for 130 yards and two touchdowns the last time the Irish hosted a ranked opponent (Army). Notre Dame is averaging 7.3 yards per carry as a team over its last three games, which is tied for the best mark in the nation. Its offensive line could be surprisingly dominant against an Indiana defense that has allowed the fewest rushing yards per game (76.2) in the FBS this season but gave up 115 rushing yards to Ohio State in its sole matchup with a ranked opponent.

Ty Son Lawton Anytime Touchdown (Indiana @ Notre Dame)

  • Lawton was more effective than backfield mate Justice Ellison (-110 to score a touchdown) in November, especially near the goal line. The 5-foot-9, 208-pound senior bowled his way to four touchdowns over the Hoosiers’ last four games, including a pair of touchdowns against Ohio State’s vaunted defense. Ellison managed just 3.03 yards per carry without a touchdown in Indiana’s last two close games against Michigan and Ohio State, yet his odds are slightly shorter to find the end zone against a Notre Dame defense that has allowed just 13.6 points per game. While the Irish are good against the run, they’re even better against the pass, so Indiana could end up handing it off when it’s able to get into scoring position.

Jadarian Price Anytime Touchdown (Notre Dame vs. Indiana)

  • While Love is the lead back for Notre Dame and is more capable of hitting some “home run” plays, Price could swoop in and steal a couple of touches near the goal line if called upon. The junior is averaging 8.7 yards per carry on 36 touches with four touchdowns over Notre Dame’s last four games. He led Notre Dame’s backs with 25 snaps against Army and rushed for two scores, then followed that up with a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against USC, showcasing that he also has big-play potential.

Omar Cooper Jr. Anytime Touchdown (Indiana @ Notre Dame)

  • Hoosiers sophomore Omar Cooper Jr. has flashed serious upside lately, with four touchdowns on just eight receptions over his last four outings. His ability to break a big play could prove key in keeping Indiana close on the road. Notre Dame’s secondary is lights out, having allowed the lowest completion rate (48.7%) and third-fewest passing yards per game (157.9) on the season. Yet the Irish only have a decent pass rush, so Hoosiers quarterback Kurtis Rourke could have time to let Cooper Jr. get down the field or find seams against a tough secondary. Cooper Jr. is averaging 21.1 yards per catch this season, and he happens to hail from Indianapolis, so he should be fired up to make a big play or two in this cross-state matchup.
