Bet365 Sportsbook Finalizes Partnership With The Cleveland Guardians

bet365 appBet365 Sportsbook has been making some big moves lately! This week, it was announced that the mobile betting app was planning on expanding to Pennsylvania thanks to a partnership with Churchill Downs. And that came just after the launch of Bet365 Sportsbook Ohio, coming hot off the heels of the rollout of Ohio sports betting.

Well, the online sportsbook isn’t done making major moves just yet, with a recent partnership with a popular professional sports team in the Buckeye State.

Bet365 Sportsbook Teams Up With The Cleveland Guardians

England-based mobile betting app Bet365 Sportsbook has finalized a deal with the Cleveland Guardians to become the team’s main sports betting partner. More details are expected to be released sooner rather than later, such as the potential retail sports betting location at Progressive Field, the Guardians’ home stadium.

One exciting side of this partnership has to do with the upcoming Guards Fest, a fan festival for fans of the Cleveland Guardians. Bet365 Sportsbook Ohio will be running its very own betting lounge at the event, which will be giving away exclusive prizes to fans at the Huntington Convention Center.

Pre-registration will be a requirement to enter the Bet365 Ohio lounge. According to Cleveland.com, 28 of the 40 players on the Cleveland Guardians roster are expected to appear at Guards Fest, as well as manager Terry Francona and other coaches and alumni.

Cleveland Guardians Looking For Another Playoff Run

In the team’s first season following a major rebranding, the Cleveland Guardians had an excellent year. The team went well over its projected win total of 76.5, winning 92 games and taking home the AL Central title. The team also started the postseason with a major playoff win, taking down the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0.

However, the Guardians were eliminated in the next round, losing 3-2 to the New York Yankees. Manager Terry Francona ended up winning the Manager of the Year award as he led his young team to the postseason. Jose Ramirez led the team with 29 home runs as well as 126 RBIs and 168 hits. Rookie Steven Kwan also looks to have a successful career with Cleveland, as the left fielder totaled 168 hits, 52 RBIs, and 6 home runs.

The team remained busy in the offseason, signing first baseman Josh Bell and catcher Mike Zunino. Bet365 Sportsbook Ohio lists the team at +140 to win the AL Central division for the second year in a row.

Other Ohio Sports Betting Partnerships

The Guardians are just the latest Ohio sports team to partner with an online sportsbook, as numerous organizations have struck deals in anticipation of Ohio sports betting. Bally Bet Sportsbook, for example, teamed up with the Cleveland Browns, which will result in a branded sports betting lounge at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Cincinnati Bengals also made a deal with BetFred Sports, albeit without an in-person sportsbook included. After having a previous deal with Fubo Sportsbook (which is withdrawing from the sports betting industry), the Cleveland Cavaliers now have a partnership with FanDuel Sportsbook.

Meanwhile, the Columbus Blue Jackets have struck a deal with the soon-to-be-released BetFanatics Sportsbook.
