The Rams are currently at -143 for Sunday Night, and I like that bet. I do not see how the 49ers are able to win this game. While I do love Kyle Shanahan as an offensive mind, he can only do so much with the talent he is given. Jimmy Garappolo looks bad, and his receiving options besides Kittle are subpar. The 49ers will try and rush the ball with Mostert and Mckinnon to stay in this game, but one turnover by Jimmy G or even CJ Bethard, if he plays, kills this game for the 49ers.
When looking at the defense for the 49ers, there basically isn’t any. The team is riddled with injuries to huge names such as Nick Bosa. Robert Salah, the defensive coordinator, is being exposed due to this. He is making odd calls such as having practice squad CBs cover top WRs 1 on 1 with no safety help. If he attempts to do that against McVay the 49ers will be dusted in this game.
All in all, I like the Rams’ defense against the 49ers to hold them to limited points and opportunities. Meanwhile, I think that McVay’s scheme will wipe the floor with Salah and his injured defense. I would place that bet on the Rams and predict them to win 28-16.
