North Carolina Sports Expected To Launch Around March Madness
With the partnership in place, BetMGM Sportsbook is preparing to enter the North Carolina sports betting market. The state initially legalized sports betting on June 14, 2023 with a signature from Governor Roy Cooper. The state was then given a window between January 8 and June 14, 2024 to fully launch. Currently, it’s expected that North Carolina sportsbooks will be able to begin launching around March Madness.
BetMGM isn’t the first sports betting app to make a partnership in the state, with Bet365 (Charlotte Hornets), FanDuel (PGA Tour), Fanatics (Carolina Hurricanes), and ESPN Bet (Quail Hollow Club/Well’s Fargo Championship) all striking deals.
