Thursday Night Football: Bet $1 Win $100 if Either Team Scores a TD
BetMGM has a ridiculous offer for the Thursday Night Football game featuring the Packers and 49ers. If you bet the moneyline on either team and there is a touchdown at any point during the game, you will get boosted odds to +10,000. This comes with a max bet of $1, so your bet can now win $100 if you predicted the team correctly. The $100 will be paid out in bonus bets, otherwise known as BetMGM money.
In the modern NFL, it is unheard of for a touchdown not to be scored over the course of an entire game. For all intents and purposes, this offer is giving you a bonus $100 to predict the winner. A reminder that you will also receive the cash payout for the normal odds on whatever amount of money you wagered on the moneyline, given that you predicted the correct team to win the game.
This is a great chance to bulk up your wallet with some bonus bets, and it only costs you $1 if you get the winner wrong. However, who knows what you can turn that $100 into if you do win.
Thursday Night Football Bet: Packers Moneyline -250
If you are going to take part in the festivities with BetMGM, I recommend that you go with the Packers in this game. Yes, the team is coming off of a bad loss to Minnesota, where Dalvin Cook murdered the Packers’ rush defense. However, while Kyle Shanahan is good at scheming RBs open, he has no one in the same realm as Dalvin Cook to rush the ball with. The 49ers will not be able to duplicate the Vikings’ plan for a multitude of reasons and will lose this game.
A large reason why the Vikings could run the ball is that Aaron Rodgers did not get going in the game. However, the Vikings did not do anything to cause this. This was all due to the weather and heavy winds forcing Rodgers to stay with short and intermediate routes. If the weather permitted Rodgers to air it out deep, the Packers take this game no problem. In this game against the 49ers, the weather will not stop Rodgers, and the Packers will obliterate the 49ers’ secondary.
The 49ers are known for running the ball, and without Jimmy Garoppolo or George Kittle, that will be even more emphasized. While you can run on this Packers’ defense, I cannot foresee McKinnon and Hasty getting going in this game as we saw with Dalvin Cook. The Packers will be able to stack the box and let their good CBs go one-on-one with Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk. The Packers will invite the 49ers to pass, which can only be a good thing with Nick Mullins out there with basically zero reliable and proven weapons.
I like the Packers to win this on the road, on the back of Aaron Rodgers’ arm and a good defensive performance.
