Cleveland Browns Vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Same Game Parlay (9/18/23)
Contents
On Monday Night Football, we’ll see the Cleveland Browns face the Pittsburgh Steelers in an AFC North showdown. In this article, find a Browns vs. Steelers Same Game Parlay featuring Nick Chubb.
Browns vs. Steelers Team Same Game Parlay Picks
The Browns haven’t won a regular season road game against the Steelers since 2003. They beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs following the 2020 season, but the Steelers have owned this rivalry in recent years.
Oddsmakers expect that to change on Monday night with the Browns as 2.5-point road favorites, and we’ll lean into that expectation with our Same Game Parlay here. Remember, we’re looking for correlated plays to maximize the chance our SGP hits. Let’s get to work.
Leg 1: Nick Chubb 100+ Rushing Yards (+154)
The clearest path to success for the Browns on Monday night comes on the ground with Nick Chubb. The Steelers’ run defense looked dreadful in Week 1, allowing the 49ers to pick up 186 yards on the ground. Pittsburgh allowed the second-highest yards after contact per attempt as they had the sixth-highest missed tackles rate in the NFL.
Chubb is licking his chops after seeing what Christian McCaffrey was able to accomplish against this run defense. It hurts Pittsburgh even more that Cameron Heyward, their best interior defensive linemen, will be out for this game. That’s problematic against the elite guard tandem of Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller.
Leg 2: Nick Chubb Anytime Touchdown (+110)
If we’re taking an alternate rushing yardage line on Chubb, let’s also take his touchdown prop here. Chubb scored in both games against the Steelers last season and he’s the team’s preferred option in the red zone. He’s also fully capable of scoring on a long touchdown run like McCaffrey did against Pittsburgh last week.
With Amari Cooper hobbled by injury and Jack Conklin out in this game, we likely won’t see a very potent passing offense from Cleveland, and I expect them to lean on Chubb heavily here. If you want a little extra juice for your SGP, you can find Nick Chubb to score 2+ touchdowns at +700 on FanDuel.
Leg 3: Cleveland Browns ML (-136)
The Browns had one of the most impressive wins of Week 1, dismantling the Bengals’ elite offense and holding Joe Burrow and friends to a measly 3 points. The Steelers were on the other end in Week 1, suffering an embarrassing home blowout loss to the 49ers. We don’t want to overreact to Week 1 results, but Cleveland has big advantages in this game.
The Browns’ pass rush was lights out in Week 1 with Myles Garrett and Za’Darius Smith perhaps the best edge rushing tandem in the NFL. Kenny Pickett was under heavy fire in Week 1 and that won’t change this week. Now, the Steelers are without Diontae Johnson, their most consistent receiver and a key outlet for Pickett.
The Steelers’ defense still features T.J. Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick, two All Pro talents. However, the team’s cornerbacks proved worrisome in Week 1 while the loss of Heyward is a big hit on the defensive line. I like the Browns to win this game, their first in Pittsburgh in the regular season since 2003.
