Caesars Ad May Reveal Nov. 23 Date For Maryland Sports Betting Launch

Caesars Sportsbook square logoThe big conversation lately in the world of wagering has been on the rollout of Maryland sports betting. The process has taken a while now, with the state taking online applications and even offering certain pre-launch incentives for different mobile betting apps.

However, while it’s been expected that the state would roll out legal sports betting sooner rather than later, we might have finally gotten an official launch date thanks to an advertisement from one of the top sports betting operators that’s planning on moving into the state. Here’s how Caesars Sportsbook might have just revealed the first day of sports betting in Maryland.

Caesars Banner Ad Reveals Potential Maryland Betting Rollout For November 23rd

One of the top mobile betting apps that’s planning on coming to the state of Maryland is Caesars Sportsbook. The popular mobile betting app from Caesars Entertainment has had its eyes set on the Old Line State, with an official partnership forged with the Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore.

With the sports betting site planning on a major release in the area, a new banner ad from Caesars Sportsbook Mayland might have revealed not just the launch date of not just its own sports wagering platform, but the entire state sports betting market.

On the morning of November 15th, betting reporter Bennett Conlin tweeted an image of a Caesars Sportsbook Maryland advertisement that appears to reveal the first day of availability. The advertisement says “Your App is Almost Ready, Maryland. Betting Starts November 23rd.” This is major news for the sports betting industry, with the long wait for a Maryland launch date possibly over.

What makes it especially interesting is the timing, as because Maryland is rolling out legal sports betting the day before Thanksgiving, there will be plenty of betting opportunities for new users on the holiday. The NFL slate is always popular on Thanksgiving Day, with this year featuring the Buffalo Bills taking on the Detroit Lions in the early game, followed by the New York Giants taking on the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots facing off against the Minnesota Vikings.

What Online Sportsbooks Are Coming To Maryland?

Now that we’re aware of a potential November 23rd rollout of online Maryland sports betting, we can look ahead to what sports betting sites will be available. Because of the ad, it looks like Caesars Sportsbook Maryland will be one of the very first sports betting apps to sign up for.

Additionally, some of the other major competitors will likely launch on that Wednesday before Thanksgiving, such as DraftKings Sportsbook Maryland, BetMGM Sportsbook Maryland, BetRivers Sportsbook Maryland, PointsBet Sportsbook Maryland, and FanDuel Sportsbook Maryland. In fact, both FanDuel Maryland and DraftKings Maryland had been offering some of the aforementioned pre-live bonuses for new sports bettors in the area.

Plenty of other sports betting sites will likely have their eyes on the fresh new sports betting scene in Maryland. Some growing mobile sportsbooks such as Betfred Sports, FOX Bet Sportsbook, and SI Sportsbook could begin rolling into the new market. Additionally, some international sportsbooks such as Bet365 Sportsbook and Unibet Sportsbook could begin offering their services in the state sooner rather than later.
