Caesars Entertainment is still concentrated on expanding in the world of resorts and casinos. While the recent growth of Caesars Sportsbook and Caesars Online Casino shows that the company is focusing on its mobile betting apps, it’s not slowing down on its casino and resort offerings anytime soon.
Caesars is preparing to open the doors on its newest Horseshoe Casino location, which will be a full renovation of a long-closed casino resort. Horseshoe Lake Charles Opening December 12th
It’s been over two years since Isle of Capri Lake Charles was in operation, with the property shutting down due to both Hurricane Laura and the pandemic. However, the property is looking to have new life as Horseshoe Lake Charles after a major renovation by Caesars Entertainment. The new casino property, which spans 60,000 square feet, will feature approximately 1,000 different table games and slot machines as well as plenty of bars and dining options.
In addition to a Caesars retail sportsbook, the casino will also feature a World Series of Poker room. While official approval is still needed from the Louisiana Gaming Control Board, all signs point to the new Horseshoe Lake Charles resort opening its doors at noon on December 12th, 2022.

Other Caesars Locations in Louisiana
The Horseshoe Lake Charles resort will be the newest Caesars property to be located in the state of Louisiana. One of the top destinations in the state is Caesars New Orleans, which itself underwent a $325 million renovation to both the exterior and interior. Harrah’s New Orleans, located right next to the French Quarter, is another hot spot for casino goers in the Bayou State.
The soon-to-be-opened Horseshoe Lake Charles Casino isn’t the only property in the state that Caesars has under the Horseshoe name, with Horseshoe Bossier City located less than 200 miles from the new resort. With four major properties in the state, as well as naming rights to the New Orleans Saints home stadium, Caesars aims to be a major force in the competitive Louisiana gambling scene.
