Carolina Panthers vs Atlanta Falcons NFL Player Props & Picks (10/30/22)

Carolina Panthers vs. Atlanta Falcons Player Prop Picks

The Carolina Panthers are visiting the the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Panthers are coming off a surprising win last week after what feels like a fire sale of their team happening. On the other hand, the Falcons are coming off a blow out loss. This should be an interesting matchup for the NFC South pecking order. Let’s take a look at some player prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.

Marcus Mariota Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

Marcus Mariota has played very well for the Falcons this year. He hasn’t been asked to do too much, but he’s helping them win games regardless. He has 1,179 passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, four interceptions, and a 61% completion percentage on the year. He’s only hit over this number in two of the seven games that the Falcons have played. However, because the Falcons run the ball really well Mariota’s always a threat in the passing game because the defense needs to account for the play-action game. Carolina is allowing 240 passing yards a game and the Falcons can take advantage of that. Take this bet because Carolina’s defense has not been great and the Falcons are playing well.

D.J. Moore Over 65.5 Receiving Yards

D.J. Moore is still in Carolina after it seemed like the Panthers were going for a straight up fire sale with their team. He only has 27 receptions, 273 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns on the year, but with what’s happened recently he instantly becomes the go-to receiver in Carolina even more that he was. He only hit over this number in one game which was last game after Carolina had their sell off of McCaffrey and Anderson. The Falcons are giving up 318 passing yards a game which will only help Moore get over this number too. If you combine that with the amount of targets he’ll get now too, this seems like a very safe bet. Moore is unquestionably the primary receiver in Carolina and now it’s his time to show it.

Drake London Over 48.5 Receiving Yards

Drake London has been one of the most electric receivers in the NFL and he’s just a rookie. He has 26 receptions, 315 receiving yards, and two receiving touchdowns on the year so far. He has gotten over this number in three of the seven games that the Falcons have played in. The most concerning part is that he got over the number in the first three games that the Falcons have played and hasn’t since. Carolina allows 240 yards through the air, which will help London a lot get over this number. London has done a lot in such a short time, and it feels like he is already Atlanta’s primary receiver in his rookie year. He should be able to get over this number because of that. Take this bet because London is a home run receiver, so look for the Falcons to get him involved when they can.
