Carolina Panthers vs Los Angeles Rams NFL Player Props & Picks (10/16/22)
Carolina Panthers vs. Los Angeles Rams Player Prop Picks
The Carolina Panthers visit the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Panthers just had a bad loss that lead to the firing of Matt Rhule, while the Rams also had a bad loss where their offensive line looked lifeless. This is an interesting matchup for both teams to try and rebound. Let’s take a look at some player prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.
Cooper Kupp Over 101.5 Receiving Yards
Cooper Kupp has been the main emphasis for the Rams offense and has really been their biggest bright spot up to this point in the season for the Rams. He has 49 receptions, 527 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns on the year so far. This number seems very high, but Kupp has actually hit over this number in four of the five games that the Rams have played up to this point. His best games have actually come in the Rams three losses which might say Los Angeles is better when they are spreading the ball around, but he’s still getting his numbers. His best game was in Week 1 when he had 13 receptions, 128 receiving yards, and one touchdown. The Panthers are also not good against the pass, which will help this a lot too. Expect Kupp to get this over, the amount of targets alone he gets is reason enough to like it.
Christian McCaffrey Over 67.5 Rushing Yards
Christian McCaffrey has had a great season so far, mainly because he’s finally healthy. He has 72 carries, 324 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns on the year right now. His best game was against the Saints where he had 108 rushing yards on 25 carries. He actually has only hit over this number in two of the five games that the Panthers have played so far this year. The Rams are also allowing 106 rushing yards a game too which will help McCaffrey get over this number. The biggest factor for him getting the over is usage and volume because he’s the best offensive player the Panthers have. The Rams are a good defensive team, but expect McCaffrey to get the over here.
Matthew Stafford Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Matthew Stafford has struggled a bit to start the year. He has 1,323 passing yards, five touchdowns, and seven interceptions. He also has a 70% completion percentage. His best game passing was last game against Dallas when he had 308 passing yards. The Panthers also are not the best against the pass where they are giving up 227 passing yards again. Stafford has only hit over this passing touchdown number once when he did it in Week 2. The Rams just need more from Stafford, and he’s capable of that, especially against a struggling Panthers team. The Rams running game has been inconsistent this year, but that’s key for this over too, because it will keep the defense honest. Take Stafford here, it feels like a great rebound spot for him and the Rams.
