Cincinnati Bengals vs. Dallas Cowboys Player Prop Picks
The Cincinnati Bengals visit the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 of the 2022-23 NFL season. The Bengals lost a thrilling game to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, while the Cowboys looked lifeless in a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week too. The Cowboys are a little injured heading into this game too. Let’s take a look at the odds and look at some prop bets that will be in play in this game too!
Joe Burrow Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Joe Burrow will be the best quarterback in this game due to the injury to Dak Prescott. The connection between Burrow and his receivers, whether its Jamar Chase or Tee Higgins or any number of the other weapons they have might be the difference in this game. Burrow had a sloppy game last week, and threw four interceptions total, but still threw 2 touchdown passes. This is an extremely solid prop bet among all players in this game, and the entire weekend too. Burrow should be ready to put on a show in Dallas, and utilize those receivers the best he can against a decent Dallas defense.
Ezekiel Elliott Over 54.5 Rushing Yards
This one might come as a shock, especially to fantasy owners of Elliott, however I like this bet this weekend. The loss of Dak Prescott at quarterback for the next few weeks hurts, but it turns the spotlight back on Elliott and the running game. The Cowboys have started to involve Tony Pollard more in the running game too, but with the absence of Dak expect them to lean more heavily on their bell-cow running back. Elliott has had very inconsistent rushing seasons the last two years, an has also sometimes involved injuries too. However, I still like Elliott here and maybe it starts off a resurgent year for him too. The Bengals defense has been solid, especially against the run, but the sheer amount of volume for Elliott should see him get over this total. I know it’s not super trustworthy, but I like this bet here and expect Elliott to be the cornerstone of the offense with Dak out.
Ja’Marr Chase Over 100.5 Receiving Yards
Ja’Marr Chase had his usual stat line last week when he caught 10 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown. I don’t know if there’s going to be a defense that can slow down Chase all year. He’s quickly become one of the best receivers in the game and I don’t see how Dallas can slow him down at all in this game. The connection between him and Joe Burrow is already among the best in the league too. Expect the Bengals to get him involved early and often throughout the game. He’s not the only weapon that the Bengals have, but he’s easily their best player too. The Dallas defense played well enough last week, but the offense let them down, and I would expect Chase to get his numbers still regardless. This is also a great bet to make in this game, while 100 yards seems like a lot, if there’s any one you can trust to get this number its Ja’Marr Chase.
