Cincinnati Bengals vs New Orleans Saints NFL Player Props & Picks (10/16/22)
Cincinnati Bengals vs. New Orleans Saints Player Prop Picks
The Cincinnati Bengals visit the New Orleans Saints in Week 6 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. The Bengals lost last week on a last second field goal, while the Saints won a very high-scoring game. This game sets up an interesting matchup because both these teams were expected to be better than they are right now. Let’s take a look at some player prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.
Joe Burrow Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Joe Burrow didn’t have the best start to his year, but he’s really rebounded up to this point. He has 1,316 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns, and five interceptions. Four of those interceptions came in Week 1, while only one has come in the last four weeks. He also has a 65% completion percentage. The Bengals as a whole seem like they were dealing with a bit of a Super Bow hangover. The Bengals are averaging 268 passing yards a game, so Burrow could hit multiple touchdowns very easily based on that. He has multiple touchdown passes in three of their first five games. The weapons the Bengals have in the receiving corps are another reason to be confident in this bet. Take Burrow and the over here, regardless of how good the New Orleans defense can be.
Chris Olave Over 54.5 Receiving Yards
Chris Olave has vaulted himself into the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation. He’s been a bright spot for a New Orleans Saints offense that’s been inconsistent throughout this year up to this point. He’s the number two receiver for the Saints, behind Michael Thomas, which means he still gets a lot of targets coming his way. He’s hit over this number in three of the five games the Saints have played in this year too. He also has 25 catches, 389 receiving yards, and two touchdowns on the year. Another thing in his favor is that the Bengals pass defense has not been the best so far this year. He was in concussion protocol, but looks like he should be ready to go here, so take this bet.
Joe Mixon Over 68.5 Rushing Yards
All of the focus for the Bengals has been on their passing attack, and rightfully so, but their running game is a huge key. Joe Mixon has had an okay season up to this point, but has a chance here to have a breakout game. He has 96 carries, 302 rushing yards, and one rushing touchdown on the year up to this point. He went over this total just last week too against Baltimore. The Saints rushing defense also has not been the best with them giving up 130 rushing yards a game. Mixon is the key to the Bengals getting back to where they were last year, especially on offense. This feels like a perfect time for him to have a breakout game and get over that total and then some. Take this total because this also feels like a Saints team that might be reeling a bit.
