Circa Opens State-Of-The-Art Sportsbook in Las Vegas

Wednesday is the official opening of the new Circa Casino in downtown Las Vegas. After originally launching a sportsbook at the Golden Gate and the D Las Vegas in June 2019, Derek Stevens had his eye on something bigger to attract sports bettors to come to get action at his sportsbook.

Now, Stevens opened up Circa Resort & Casino with the largest sportsbook in the U.S. The three-story sportsbook will be home to everyone.

Matt Metcalf, Circa Sportsbook Director, says he has a team that wants to invite sharp and big bettors to his sportsbook instead of turning them away. He wants his team to have fun in the “cat-and-mouse” game that is sports betting.

Both Stevens and Metcalf are trying to revolutionize the sports betting industry, and they are making a splash in Las Vegas with the sportsbook and how they want to operate the business.

What’s All the Hoopla About the Sportsbook?

Well, for starters, have you heard about the video screen?

Circa decided to put in a 78 million pixel board so that bettors can watch as many games as possible. They have the video screen on the main floor of the sportsbook along with a wall with odds for every sport. You can then head to the top floor of the sportsbook, and there is another outdoor video board with seating that is just as big!

Circa Sportsbook has a 1,000-person viewing room with private tables and 350 stadium seating. VSiN is also expected to do live shows from Circa daily as they will have their own production studio inside the sportsbook.

They will also have 72 bar top games throughout the main level of the sportsbook so you can get your gaming fix if you don’t have a bet going on. Or maybe, you want to get frisky and try to double your winnings at the bar top games along with your bet.

Circa’s Stadium Swim is an outdoor paradise with six different pools and a 40-foot tall video board to feature all the games. The video only has 14 million pixels compared to the 78 million pixel board downstairs. The outdoor area can also seat 4,000. The Stadium Swin has 337 lawn chairs, 30 cabanas, and 38-day beds.

The outdoor pool is expected to be open 365 days a year.

Where Does Circa Go From Here?

As grand as Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas is going to be, Stevens is still looking to push the envelope as he wants to expand across the U.S.

Circa has a sportsbook in Colorado but is also looking into Michigan shortly.

Stevens is looking to revolutionize the sports betting industry, making it the most customer-friendly sportsbook in the U.S. He wants everyone to feel invited and make sure no one gets turned away if they want to do business with Circa.

They have a Grand Opening they need to get through, but Circa will be looking at expansion over the next few years. Michigan looks to be the next destination, but Stevens also wants to bring Circa to states that are more friendly to sports betting.

We will see what the Circa team has in-store for sports bettors.

I fell in love with handicapping right away. Sports betting is a lot more enjoyable when going through advanced data to find an edge on a Vegas line. Situational plays is a focus of mine and study stats and data analytics to go along with certain situations to make myself a more well rounded capper. College football and college basketball are my favorite to bet.
