We’re onto Monday Night Football in Week 10 of the NFL season, and we have an intriguing NFC East matchup between the Commanders and Eagles on deck. Both of these teams are vying for playoff positioning, but they’re in vastly different positions. The Eagles lead the division at 8-0 while the Commanders are in last place at 4-5.

In this matchup, there are plenty of player props that provide value as far as building a Same Game Parlay (SGP) goes. In this article, I’ll build an SGP that will provide excitement to this primetime game. As always, correlation is king here. Let’s get to work.

NFL Week 10 Monday Night Football Same Game Parlay

It’s DeVonta Smith’s birthday! The former Heisman-winning wide receiver turns 24 tonight, and what better way is there to celebrate than by building an SGP surrounding his player props? Let’s find some value in his receiving lines in this matchup.

Smith has been in a slump lately with just 38.6 receiving yards per game over his last five, but this matchup provides an excellent opportunity for a bounceback as he compiled 169 receiving yards against the Commanders earlier this season.

When Smith played on his birthday last season, he faced the Broncos’ Patrick Surtain, one of the best corners in the NFL, and racked up four catches for 66 yards and two touchdowns. It’s clear that he has the birthday mojo, and it’s even better that this is a home game on primetime against a rival.

The Commanders’ defense has been improving lately, particularly after they removed William Jackson from the lineup, and much of that is due to their elite pass rush. As a result, I expect Jalen Hurts to be utilizing the short and intermediate areas of the field a bit more frequently, and that’s where Smith thrives.

Jalen Hurts is ranked third in the NFL in passer rating, third in PFF’s grading, and is the most accurate passer in the league by adjusted completion percentage. Simply put, his ascension this season has been brilliant, and he’s quickly become one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

When he faced the Commanders earlier this season, Hurts completed 62.9% of his passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns to no interceptions. A similar stat line in this game isn’t entirely out of the question, but we can get his player props at a significantly reduced number.

For this SGP, let’s take advantage of the value that FanDuel provides and use some alternate lines for these players. To start, let’s take Jalen Hurts over 275 passing yards at +225 value. He’s only gone over this number in one of his last five games, but the Commanders have an elite run defense so Hurts could be forced to throw more often.

For DeVonta Smith, let’s take his alternate receiving line at 80+ yards for +280 value. If you want, FanDuel offers as high as 110+ yards at +880 odds, but that’s a bit too much for my projections. However, we’ll also include Smith to score a touchdown at +200 odds as I can see him celebrating his birthday in style.

Put it all together, and we have a fun SGP that revolves around the birthday boy finding great success on primetime:
