Tampa Bay winning the NFC South isn’t a huge achievement this year and Dallas finishing 2nd in the division will cause them to go down to visit Tom Brady. Dallas has been the better team this year, but Tampa still has a ton of weapons. They rank 17th in DVOA on offense and that is with a shaky offensive line and some questionable play calling.
While the Buccaneers didn’t allow a ton of sacks, Brady had zero time to throw and it leads to shorter passes. If Tampa can’t attack Dallas downfield, things will be limited for them against a solid front seven. Tampa ranked 32nd in yards per rush and the offensive line struggles really showed in this department. Dallas ranks 20th in yards per rush on defense, so this would have been an area to exploit.
Advanced metrics are somewhat in the middle of what they think of Dallas’ offense. They rank 14th in DVOA and are 11th in yards per play. An area they have thrived this year is on third down and in the red zone. Overall Dallas has the advantage but Prescott has been turning the ball over more than you would like.
