NFL Divisional Round Same Game Parlay – Cowboys Vs. 49ers
CeeDee Lamb was quiet in the playoffs against the 49ers last year. He caught just one pass for 21 yards on five targets, and his lack of production was a major point of criticism for the Cowboys’ coaching staff after they flamed out in the first round. Kellen Moore must have spent the past year thinking about ways to maximize his star wideout.
The 49ers’ defense has been excellent all year, but they are vulnerable against deep-ball passing. They rank 24th in DVOA on passes of 15+ yards downfield, and we just saw it last week as D.K. Metcalf cooked Charvarius Ward with a 50-yard bomb touchdown in the second quarter to take the lead.
Lamb is very capable of catching downfield passes as he ranks 10th in DYAR on deep shots, per Football Outsiders. His 14 catches on 20+ yard passes rank fifth in the NFL, and he’s taken those catches for 378 yards and four touchdowns.
The Cowboys need to find ways to get Lamb isolated against Deommodore Lenoir, who ranks 103rd among 135 qualified corners in PFF grade. When Lamb is playing from the slot, he’ll be facing Jimmie Ward, who allowed an 81.7% catch rate and a 93.9 passer rating.
Lamb had a three-game stretch with 100+ yards earlier this season, and he had 100+ yards in five of his 18 games this year. The odds on his 100+ yard mark at +188 aren’t great, but I still think there’s enough value to make it worthwhile.
We can also add Lamb’s touchdown prop as he’s scored in two straight games and has four touchdowns over his last four games. Lamb’s touchdown prop sits at +160 odds, and he ranks 18th in red zone targets. He’ll be a frequent target in the paint in this game.
Finally, we’ll round out our SGP with an alternate spread on the Cowboys at +7.5. It sits at -205 so it’s not something you should play on its own, but it’s a solid value add to our Lamb-oriented SGP. It’s tough to imagine the Cowboys not at least keeping this game within a score if Lamb is producing at this level.
With those three legs put together, here’s our SGP for this game:
- CeeDee Lamb 100+ Receiving Yards (+188)
- CeeDee Lamb Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+160)
- Dallas Cowboys +7.5 (-205)
Full SGP Odds: +600 ($10 wins $60)
