Crab Sports Goes Live In Maryland As State Gets 11th Mobile Sportsbook

The Maryland sports betting industry just welcomed its 11th mobile sports betting app with the launch of Crab Sports. The locally-focused online betting site enters a competitive market, but the platform does have some unique offerings that could help it stand out.

The numbers for the Maryland wagering market are also back from the month of May, and while the overall handle is down from the previous month, revenue numbers saw an increase.

Crab Sports Rolls Out In Maryland

Maryland’s 11th online betting app is now taking wagers! Crab Sports just received a wagering license from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission, and now the betting site has fully launched. Before this launch, the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Commission ensured the platform was ready for launch as a test was conducted in which bettors could place wagers with the platform.

Crab Sports is now in competition with other popular Maryland sportsbooks such as BetMGM Sportsbook Maryland, Caesars Sportsbook Maryland, FanDuel Sportsbook Maryland, and DraftKings Sportsbook Maryland. The platform has a major focus on the Maryland community, with Crab Sports announcing on its Twitter account, “We will be Maryland’s #1 local sportsbook and will be dedicated entirely to the state of Maryland. From the Caps to the Ravens to local crab cakes, we live and breathe MD life.” This community focus is further detailed by the mobile sportsbook’s promotional discounts with its local business partners.

Crab Sports At A Glance

Taking a look at the Crab Sports website, the interface is similar to other mobile sportsbooks on the market. The platform offers an impressive number of different markets to wager on, with everything from football, baseball, hockey, and basketball to MMA, rugby, snooker, and darts.

The platform also has promotions akin to other online betting apps, such as a welcome bonus and boosts on parlay bets. One unique feature on the Crab Sports website is the option to purchase merchandise such as hats, shorts, and can coolers featuring the platform’s logo.

Another interesting feature of Crab Sports is the “Crab Club”, in which users can nominate local businesses to partner with the mobile betting app. Businesses that have struck these partnerships include Route One Apparel, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Quincy’s Bar & Grille, and the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball team. This list of Crab Club partners should expand as more bettors in the Old Line State sign up with the platform.

Maryland Betting Revenue Sees 19.9% Increase In May
