DeVonta Smith Player Prop Picks

The Eagles invested heavily in bringing in A.J. Brown this offseason, but they have also benefited greatly from DeVonta Smith’s second-year breakout. He finished the regular season with 95 catches for 1,196 yards and seven touchdowns and he has eight catches for 97 yards and a score through the team’s two playoff games.

In this article, I’ll break down some of the available player props for DeVonta Smith. DeVonta Smith Over/Under 61.5 Receiving Yards

Over the back half of the season, DeVonta Smith was unstoppable as he finished with 100+ receiving yards in four of the last six games of the regular season. In total, he’s gone over this yardage number in ten of his 19 games this season and six straight games to close the regular season.

Smith missed this prop in the two playoff games, but that was primarily due to the game script that saw the Eagles take big leads early. That won’t be the case here as Patrick Mahomes will give their defense all it can handle, and Jalen Hurts will need to throw the ball more often.

Smith should benefit against a very beatable secondary that has allowed some huge performances to wide receivers throughout the season. He’ll have to compete for targets with A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert, but Smith should still have plenty of opportunities for production.

The Verdict: Lean Over 61.5 Receiving Yards

DeVonta Smith Over/Under 4.5 Receptions

The issue you run into with reception props like this is the heavy juice towards the over. The best number you can find on over 4.5 receptions for DeVonta Smith is -155 at DraftKings, but I wouldn’t be shocked if even that number becomes unavailable as we get closer to kickoff.

The juice makes sense – Smith has hit 5+ receptions in 14 of his 19 games this season and had done it in seven straight games prior to last week. Against the 49ers, he finished with just two catches as he surprisingly only saw three targets, which was his lowest since Week 9.

Ultimately, I’d be looking for other opportunities to invest in Smith if you want to take some of his props. You can include his receptions prop in a parlay with other bets if you’d like, and I’d certainly lean towards the over here.

The Verdict: Lean Over 4.5 Receptions

DeVonta Smith Longest Reception Over/Under 23.5 Yards

While A.J. Brown has been the more frequently used downfield receiver for the Eagles, DeVonta Smith has still hit the over on this prop in six of his last eight games. Over the full season, it’s just eight of 19 games, but he’s taken on more work in that downfield role lately.

Smith is an elite downfield receiver as well with 10 catches on 22 targets for 337 yards and two touchdowns. Those 22 targets lag behind Brown’s 32, but he’ll still have plenty of opportunities for downfield targets against a defense that has allowed a catch of 25+ yards in 17 of their 19 games this season.

The Verdict: Lean Longest Reception Over 23.5 Yards

DeVonta Smith Anytime Touchdown Scorer

We’re getting some solid value on DeVonta Smith to score a touchdown here as you can find him at +150 or better for the Super Bowl. Smith has only scored in seven of his 19 games this season, but he did score against the Giants in the team’s Divisional Round playoff game.

Smith only has 11 red zone targets in the regular season to 18 for Brown and he’ll have to contend with Dallas Goedert who had 9 red zone targets. Still, with a 21.6% target share in a projected high-scoring game with an over/under of 50.5 points, there’s a little value to be had here.

The Verdict: Lean Yes
