Dodgers-Yankees Odds, Picks, Predictions Friday: Bet On Fried In World Series Rematch?

The last time the Yankees were at Dodger Stadium, they fell in Game 2 of the 2024 World Series, eventually losing in five games. Favored to meet again in this year’s Fall Classic, these powerhouse clubs will face off in Los Angeles for the first of a three-game set. As of this publication, New York is favored to win Friday’s affair at  with ace Max Fried on the bump. The total is . Let’s assess the best way to bet on Dodgers-Yankees odds.

AL Cy Young Betting Odds

Will Fried Best Dodgers?

The Yankees’ biggest offseason acquisition has dominated, tallying a 1.29 ERA, the best in all of baseball, and 2.57 FIP in 11 starts. Fried’s home run to fly ball ratio (HR/FB) is the second lowest of his career (5.2%). Per the betting table above, his +600 odds of taking home the AL Cy Young award only trail the Tigers’ Tarik Skubal, last year’s winner.

While Fried will battle one of the league’s most potent lineups, I expect him to continue his stellar pitching. For one, Shohei Ohtani and his teammates haven’t dominated southpaws like they have righties. Fried’s sinker, his second-most frequent pitch type (19.5%) behind his fastball, should also help neutralize the Dodgers. Their offense ranks 11th in run value against sinkers, which is their lowest success rate against any offering.

Combine that with the Yankees’ superior bullpen and their scorching bats, as AL MVP favorite Aaron Judge and Co. are primed to tee off on the declining Tony Gonsolin (4.68 ERA/4.47 FIP). I’d consider playing New York on the moneyline, up to -135.

Good luck with your bets on Dodgers-Yankees odds!
