DraftKings Massachusetts March Madness Odds
Arizona State Sun Devils -1.5
The First Four of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament tips off on Tuesday, but I believe the best bet from those first four games comes on Wednesday. Arizona State faces Nevada in a matchup for the 11th seed in the West region and the right to face TCU in the first round.
The Sun Devils’ top player, Desmond Cambridge Jr., spent two seasons at Nevada before transferring to Arizona State prior to this year. Cambridge helps the Sun Devils push in transition at a top 20 rate, and they rank second in finishes at the rim where Nevada ranks just 262nd on defense.
Nevada’s offense is also fairly easy to game plan against. They are a heavy midrange team with senior guard tandem Jarod Lucas and Keenan Blackshear. The Wolf Pack also closed the season with three ugly losses against Wyoming, UNLV, and San Jose State. That’s not the type of momentum you want to bring into the tournament.
The Sun Devils had some very impressive results this season, including a blowout win over Michigan, a win over Creighton, and a massive road win on a buzzer-beating three against Arizona. Head coach Bobby Hurley pushes the team to a win here to add to their impressive results from this season.
