DraftKings NFL Daily Fantasy Cash Game Picks Week 9

Quarterbacks
Matthew Stafford ($6,600) vs Vikings- Stafford has been a bit up and down so far this season but it looks like he is turning the corner and is playing better. He has scored 20+ FPTS in 3 of his last 4 games and despite losing Kenny Golladay he still threw for 336 yards and 3 TDs vs a tough Colts defense last week. He will likely be without him again this week, but he will also be up against the Minnesota Vikings who rank 30th vs opposing QBs on DK so far this season. Look for Stafford to continue his streak of good play this Sunday.
Drew Lock ($5,200) vs Falcons- Drew Lock got off to a slow start vs the Chargers last week but stepped up in the 2nd half and finished with 248 yards and 3 TDs on the day. He has now had over 40 pass attempts in each of the last 2 games and will be up against a Falcons team who are usually involved in some high scoring games. They rank 23rd vs QBs on DK this year so at this price I think Lock could easily return value. If you are looking for a lower-priced QB I think Lock is the best of the bunch.
Running Backs
Dalvin Cook ($8,200) vs Lions- Dalvin Cook was amazing in his return from injury last week rushing 30 times for 163 yards and 3 TDs along with 63 receiving yards and another TD. Cook has been fed the ball in the Vikings run-first offense all season and I think we are at the point where he should be priced higher than Christian McCaffrey on a weekly basis. The Lions have one of the worst rush defenses in the league so I expect Cook to have a huge game, even though it is unlikely that it will be as good as we saw in week 8.
Zack Moss ($5,200) vs Seahawks- Zack Moss has missed some time due to injury this year but it looks like he is getting back in the groove for Buffalo. There was talk about him taking over the starting job and we may see that starting to happen as we enter week 9. He rushed 14 times for 81 yards and 2 TDs last week and it looks like he has secured the goal-line work for the Bills. The Seahawks do not have a good offense so I expect the Bills to be in the red zone early and often on Sunday. If this happens I anticipate a very good day from Bills rookie RB Zack Moss.
Wide Receivers
Terry McLaurin ($6,500) vs Giants- Despite some lackluster quarterback play, Washington WR Terry McLaurin has been great for fantasy owners for most of this season. He has scored double-digit fantasy points in every game but 1 this season and has 11+ targets in 3 of the last 4 games. McLaurin is easily the best weapon on the Washington offense and they shouldn’t be too overwhelmed vs a 1 win Giants team. Look for McLaurin to continue to command the bulk of the targets and produce in Washington.
Corey Davis ($5,900) vs Bears- Corey Davis has quietly been very good this season despite missing a lot of time due to COVID. He has 10 targets in each of his last 2 games and he has yet to have a game where he scores in double digits. The Bears have a very tough defense but I believe Corey Davis will still be able to put together a good game. Davis has also scored in 3 of the last 4 games which is another plus along with his targets. At under $6,000 I think we are getting a great deal on a top tier WR this Sunday.
Tight End
Trey Burton ($3,500) vs Ravens- Trey Burton didn’t have the best game last week but he was still able to find the endzone and has been running a little bit as the wildcat QB at the goal line. He has 2 rushing TDs in the last 2 weeks as well as 1 receiving TD. Rivers likes to throw to TEs and against a good Ravens pass rush, he may not have a lot of time to wait for WRs to get downfield so he will be forced to dump the ball underneath to players like Burton. At this price, I am willing to take a shot on Burton and hope he finds the endzone again this week.
Defense
Houston Texans D/ST ($3,100) vs Jaguars- The Texans defense hasn’t been great so far this season but I like their matchup and their price this week. They aren’t playing the Jets this week but they are going up against the Jaguars with a new rookie QB due to Gardner Minshew’s injury. He doesn’t have any experience and with JJ Watt providing pressure I think they could force some turnovers this week. Take a shot on Houston this week.
