DraftKings Sportsbook Expands NFT Offerings With Superhero Themes
Contents
DraftKings is always trying something new to keep up with the competition. Looking at the trajectory of the mobile betting site, we’ve seen DraftKings evolve from a widely used daily fantasy sports app to an online sportsbook and even an iGaming platform. In order to continue offering something different than the rest of the betting world, DraftKings tends to offer unique promotions such as special free-to-play contests for different events.
However, one of the most interesting moves by DraftKings Online Sportsbook was the decision to enter the growing world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). It’s just been announced that the popular betting site is evolving its NFT offerings with a new collaboration.
Pixel Vault Teams With DraftKings For New Reignmakers Football Theme
The DraftKings NFT-themed game Reignmakers Football appears to have become quite popular since its release in August of 2022. The game combines NFTs and fantasy football-styled contests in one unique game available with DraftKings apps. Well, the Reignmakers Football game is about to have some interesting new offerings thanks to a recent collaboration.
Thanks to a partnership between DraftKings, the NFLPA, and Intellectual Property-themed company Pixel Vault, a new collection of NFT player cards has just been released. According to a new press release from DraftKings, these new cards, which have become available just in time for NFL Week 15, feature a superhero theme for a number of different star NFL players.
With these limited edition packs of cards from the collaboration, Reignmakers Football players can compete in unique contests themed around Pixel Vault, which will offer the chance at a total of $100,000 in prizes paid out in cash.
These contests focus on the Saturday NFL games for Week 15, which include the Minnesota Vikings facing off against the Indianapolis Colts, the Cleveland Browns hosting the Baltimore Ravens, and the Miami Dolphins taking on the Buffalo Bills. All three of these games should be enticing, with each spread currently within a score on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Interestingly, the collaboration isn’t the first for the DraftKings Reignmakers Football game. In October, the online betting site teamed up with NFT ecosystem Deadfellaz on some limited edition Halloween-themed cards. If these collaborations continue to be successful for DraftKings, don’t be surprised if we start to see more in 2023 and beyond as Reignmakers Football continues to grow.
Packs are coming! Take your shot at winning amazing prizes with @draftkings for this upcoming Super Saturday event. Get your pack today to reveal the PixelVault Reignmakers cards.

DraftKings Beats The Competition To NFTs
The move into NFTs and further collaborations make a lot of sense for DraftKings Sportsbook, especially considering the rest of the competition has been behind in fully embracing the fairly new phenomenon. However, that doesn’t mean that other betting sites haven’t tried innovations of their own. Caesars Sportsbook recently became the very first wagering platform to fully stream an NFL game with its new Watch and Bet feature, which will feature more matchups throughout the season that users can watch right from the mobile app.
Plus, FanDuel Sportsbook has been expanding in the media world, launching FanDuel TV earlier this year to provide sports bettors with gambling-focused content. As states like Ohio and Massachusetts prepare to launch their own sports betting markets and each of the major sports betting operators battling for the top spot, expect more unique moves from DraftKings and other big names in the future.
