Earlier this week, DraftKings announced a merger with Diamond Eagle Acquisition Corporation and SBTech. This three-way deal will take DraftKings public sometime in the early part of 2020. The new company will go by DraftKings Inc. and is expected to have a market cap of about $3.3 billion. “The combination of DraftKings’ leading and trusted brand, deep focus on customer experience and data science expertise and SBTech’s highly innovative and proven technology platform creates a vertically-integrated powerhouse,” said Jason Robins, co-founder and CEO of DraftKings.
“With the full integration of SBTech’s technology and innovative product expertise coupled with the right capitalization, DraftKings will be in a great position to continue its ambitious expansion plans in the United States,” Harry E. Sloan, Diamond Eagle’s founding investor, said in a statement.

BYU vs Hawaii (64) – 8:00 PM
The BYU Cougars (7-5) take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors (9-5) in the Hawaii Bowl tonight. BYU enters this game having lost to San Diego State in their most recent game after winning their previous five. Hawaii also enters this game coming off of a lose, a 31-10 defeat to Boise State, after having won their previous four games.
Before their loss to San Diego State in their last game, the Cougars were averaging nearly 40 points per game on offense during their five-game winning streak. The Cougars have a solid passing attack that ranks 24th in the country. They have an average rushing attack that ranks 70th in the country to go along with that dangerous pass offense. The Cougars have shown big-play potential this season as they are 38th in the country in yards per play.
Hawaii does have the sixth-best passing offense in the country. They are a high-scoring offense that ranks 32nd in the country in points per game. They have one of the nation’s best big-play offenses as they ranks 13th in yards per play. The Hawaii defense is terrible. They are 96th in the country in points allowed per game and they are 105th against the rush. They are average against the pass (65th) and they allow a ton of big plays (107th in yards per play allowed).
Everyone knows how fast Hawaii can score but many people may not realize how good this BYU offense is too. I think BYU gets an early lead and runs away with this game but I also expect a ton of scoring. The Cougars should score fast and frequently against this weak Hawaii defense. The Cougars have a solid defense but the Hawaii offense should still find plenty of scoring opportunities. We need more than nine touchdowns in this game for it to go OVER but I do expect it to happen. Hawaii playing from behind all game will force them to take a lot of big scoring shots. A lot of passing in this game means big yardage plays and a lot of clock stoppages to conserve time. Roll with the OVER in what could be one of the highest-scoring bowl games of the season.
