A former contestant on The Bachelor is under investigation after winning $1 million in a DraftKings fantasy football contest during the NFL Wild Card Weekend. Jade Roper Tolbert submitted the winning lineup in the contest. Jade and husband Tanner Tolbert both submitted 150 entries into the contest, the max allowed per account. Fellow contestants believe that the two colluded together to enter unique rosters in order to essentially maximize their entries. DraftKings is currently investigating the situation.

NBA: LeBron James to record a Triple-Double vs Knicks +250 to +300
LeBron James averages 24.9 points, 11.0 assists and 7.9 rebounds per game. James already has nine triple-doubles this season including two in his last three games. Against one of the worst teams in the league, it isn’t too difficult to imagine him getting his 10th.
NBA: Suns & Timberwolves & Thunder all to Win +443 to +485
The Suns are a 6.5-points favorite at home against the Kings and the Thunder are two-point favorites on the road against the Nets. The Timberwolves are just a small 2.5-point underdog on the road in Memphis.
NCAAB: Ohio State & Louisville & Virginia all to Win +183 to +205
Ohio State is a 2.5-point underdog on the road against a ranked Maryland team. Louisville (13.5) and Virginia (8.5) are both big favorites tonight. Assuming those two take care of business, the tough part here is Ohio State getting the win. After losing their last two games, the Buckeyes will be eager to rebound with a big win tonight against Maryland.
NHL: Islanders & Capitals & Bruins all to Win +360 to +395
The Islanders took down the Avalanche last night 1-0 and are small favorites (-125) tonight against the Devils. The Capitals are huge favorites (-280) against a bad Ottawa team. The Bruins are small favorites on the road against the Predators. With the Islanders riding momentum from last night’s win and the Bruins arguably the best team in the league, this bet that pays out nearly 4/1 is a steal. No way the Capitals lose tonight, right?

#16 Villanova vs Creighton (-2) – 9:00 PM
The Villanova Wildcats (10-3) take on the Creighton Blue Jays (12-3) tonight. Villanova enters this game off of a loss to Marquette 71-60 after winning their previous six games. Creighton was on an eight-game winning streak before losing in their last contest to Butler 71-57.
Villanova hasn’t had the best statistical season but they have managed to find a way to win games. The Wildcats are 94th in the country in points per game (76). They have shot the ball fairly well from all over the floor. They are 101st in FG% (45.6), 138th in 3PT% (34.3) and 32nd in FT% (76). Defensively, the Wildcats haven’t done as well. Villanova has allowed 67.8 points per game, which is 160th in the country. Their opponents are shooting 44% from the field (247th) and 32.4% from three (172nd).
Creighton has been better statistically than Villanova for the most part on both sides of the ball. The Bluejays are in the Top 60 in points per game (78.3), FG% (46.9) and 3PT% (36.4). Defensively, Creighton is fairly even with Villanova as they allow 68.6 points per game (176th). However, they held their opponents to lower shooting numbers. Creighton opponents are shooting 41.6% from the field (138th) and 30.2% from three (76th).
Villanova may be the ranked team but Creighton is the right play in this one. Both teams have a schedule that is fairly similar in terms of difficulty. Their offensive and defensive efficiencies are also very similar. The major difference between these two teams is in tempo. Villanova is in the bottom 100 in the country in terms of pace of play while Creighton is slightly above average at more than two more possessions per game than the Wildcats. At home, I like Creighton to win this game and get the cover as well. I trust their offense more and I think they have a big scoring game tonight at home. The NCAAB formula has Creighton winning this one 80-72.
