DraftKings Teams Up with Bleacher Report for Super Bowl Props Bet Show
DraftKings revealed Tuesday morning that the sports betting operator is partnering with Bleacher Report to host a proprietary Super Bowl prop bet reveal show on the Bleacher Report app. The show will stream on Monday, January 25 at 6 PM ET, less than 24 hours after the NFL Conference Championship games.
B/R Drop Zone: DraftKings Big Game Prop Reveal will feature expert and celebrity guests as they talk about betting the Super Bowl. The show will also have interactive segments and fan giveaways for whoever tunes in.
The show will be streamed on the Bleacher Report mobile app, Bleacher Report Youtube channel, and Twitter. Viewers who tune in via the B/R mobile app will be able to interact with the hosts and give their own takes on the Big Game for special prizes.
B/R Drop Zone: DraftKings Big Game Prop Reveal will be hosted by Bleacher Report’s Cabbie Richards and Greg Ivory. B/R’s show will also feature Kelly Stewart of Bleacher Report Betting and DraftKings Head of Sportsbook Johnny Avello and feature celebrity guest Chad Ochocinco.
B/R Drop Zone: DraftKings Big Game Prop Reveal will feature 40 different props across five categories with celebrities’ special guest appearances.
The show’s creation came from the multi-year partnership created between DraftKings and Turner Sports. DraftKings became the exclusive sportsbook and daily fantasy sports provider of Turner Sports and Bleacher Report.
“Prop betting is already a popular product for the NFL championship and appeals to all types of fans, so showcasing these markets within the Bleacher Report network for the first time helps enhance our offerings in 2021,” said Matt Kalish, co-founder, and president of DraftKings.
Super Bowl Betting
There is no doubt that the Super Bowl is one of the most popular sports to bet on in the U.S. According to the American Gaming Association, roughly 26 million Americans wagered nearly $7 billion on Super Bowl LIV. About one in four people who watched the Super Bowl also bet on it. That number should continue to increase in coming years with more states legalizing sports betting.
Additionally, Super Bowl prop betting has become a staple of the big game. The prop betting market has grown into its own phenomenon with hundreds of betting markets from player props, game props, half-time props, commercial props, and more. DraftKings and Blecher Report are making the right move by creating a Super Bowl prop bet show to give sports bettors an idea of betting this type of market.
Overall, DraftKings will be offering over 200 prop betting markets for the Big Game. DraftKings is also offering a $55 Million Super Bowl Prediction Challenge, a free to play pool that reveals random rewards between $3 and $25,000. The winner of the pool will be taking home $1 million.
Bleacher Report has seen a ton of engagement during the 2020 NFL season around betting on football. B/R Betting, the companies’ sports betting platform, was the most engaged social media account for sports betting. Bleacher Report reported that the platform saw a 46% increase across its channels, and an estimated 23 million visited the Bleacher Report website and app.
