Fanatics Launches in Virginia As Sportsbook Joins Responsible Gaming Campaign

Fanatics Sportsbook is continuing its expansion with a launch in Virginia! This rollout comes less than a week after the online betting site made its debut in West Virginia. Additionally, Fanatics Sportsbook just announced a new responsible gaming campaign after partnering with some of the top U.S. sporting leagues.

Fanatics Sportsbook Goes Live In Virginia

Bettors in the state of Virginia can start placing bets with Fanatics Sportsbook right now! The online betting site is now live in the Old Dominion State alongside other top betting operators like BetMGM, DraftKings, and Caesars. The mobile app for Fanatics Sportsbook is now available to Virginia bettors on Android and iOS devices.

Because of the acquisition of PointsBet’s U.S. businesses by Fanatics Betting and Gaming in August of 2023, former PointsBet Sportsbook users will have a simple transition to the new mobile sportsbook. Basically, previous PointsBet users in the state of Virginia will just need to visit the Fanatics Sportsbook desktop site or download the mobile app.

Then, since accounts have been migrated, they’ll just need to enter their former PointsBet login information and they’ll be able to immediately start betting. Fanatics has also been highlighting its numerous features to stand out from the other competing online sportsbooks, like its live streaming options, customizable interface, and FanCash promotion.

With this launch, Fanatics Sportsbook is now fully available in seven sports betting markets across the U.S.

Fanatics Sportsbook WV and Fanatics Casino Both Launched Last Week

Last week, Fanatics Sportsbook went live in the state of West Virginia. Similarly to the Virginia launch, Fanatics users who had previously signed up for PointsBet could simply download the app and enter their pre-established credentials. Considering the timeline between West Virginia and Virginia launches, it’s possible that Fanatics Sportsbook could begin expanding to other new states soon.

Interestingly, Fanatics also unveiled its brand new iGaming product Fanatics Casino in the state. The online casino, which is available directly in the Fanatics Sportsbook app, features classic games such as slot machines, roulette, and blackjack. Speaking of blackjack, the platform has launched Fanatics Blackjack on the platform, an exclusive game for the iGaming app.

Now that Fanatics Casino is available in one of the five U.S. states with legal online casino gaming, don’t be surprised if it continues to launch in areas such as Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Additionally, with Virginia online casinos a possibility in the future, a Fanatics Casino Virginia launch can’t be ruled out.

Fanatics Partners On New Responsible Gaming Campaign

With the NBA In-Season Tournament airing on TNT, a new responsible gaming campaign is preparing to launch. A new advertisement will air during the event, which features clips from numerous sporting events alongside, emphasizes the risks of wagering and the benefits of setting limits and wagering responsibly.

The advertisement, entitled “Never Know What’s Next,” was posted on the NBA’s official YouTube account. Fanatics Sportsbook has partnered with the NBA, alongside the MLB and NHL, on the responsible gaming campaign. Alongside Fanatics Sportsbook, other sports betting operators like FanDuel Sportsbook, DraftKings Sportsbook, and the recently launched ESPN BET have partnered on the campaign.
