Point Guards
- Russell Westbrook
- Luka Doncic – If Healthy
- Trae Young
- Ja Morant
- Malcolm Brogdon – GPP
- Elfrid Payton – GPP
- Coby White
- Mike Conley
- Seth Curry – If Doncic is out
Analysis: Most of the point guards are in good spots tonight. Russell Westbrook gets the Knicks, who rank 28th against opposing point guards. Westbrook continues to crush as well. Luka Doncic gets the Bulls, who rank 25th against opposing point guards this season. He has the questionable tag, which would put Seth Curry in a strong value spot. Curry is cheap and we saw the upside that he has. Trae Young is in a great spot, and this game in general has a ton of potential for fantasy explosion. Ja Morant is on the other side, who is averaging over 30 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Great mid range plays in this spot with Brogdon against the Spurs, but Coby White continues to light it up.
Shooting Guards
- James Harden
- C.J. McCollum
- Jimmy Butler – GPP
- Donovan Mitchell
- DeMar DeRozan
- Evan Fournier
- Dillon Brooks
- Kevin Huerter
- Jordan Clarkson – GPP
Analysis: C.J. McCollum will continue to handle the point, but has been tremendous still. He is averaging 55 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Orlando ranks 16th against opposing point guards. Donovan Mitchell is in one of the best spots against Cleveland, who rank 30th against opposing shooting guards this season. Mitchell has a 30% usage rate as well. Some mid range plays that work are Dillon Brooks and Evan Fournier. Kevin Huerter is in a good spot, and is coming off a monster game. Memphis ranks 20th against opposing shooting guards. If you are looking for a cheap name with upside, Jordan Clarkson is worth a look off the bench, especially with his scoring.
Small Forwards
- Giannis Antetokounmpo
- T.J. Warren
- Tim Hardaway Jr – GPP
- Carmelo Anthony – GPP
- Bojan Bogdanovic
- Kevin Porter
- De’Andre Hunter
- Jae Crowder
Analysis: Giannis Antetokounmpo is a prime pay up option on any night. Miami ranks 25th against power forwards. He also continues to produce big nights, averaging 58 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Otherwise I am looking to go cheap in this spot outside of Giannis. There isn’t a ton of pay up options and other positions. Jae Crowder is cheap, and De’Andre Hunter is as well. Both are worth a look on a mid size slate. However, Kevin Porter is someone with upside, but in a tough spot against the Jazz. T.J. Warren, Melo, and Hardaway all sit in that mid range, and have a wide range of outcomes because they are not the most consistent.
Power Forwards
- Kristaps Porzingis
- Bam Adebayo
- Domantas Sabonis
- John Collins
- Julius Randle – GPP
- Aaron Gordon
- Robert Covington
- Thaddeus Young
- Trey Lyles
Analysis: A lot of standout spots for power forwards tonight. Aaron Gordon is one, as Portland has been terrible against power forwards this season. They rank 29th against opposing power forwards. Gordon has been excellent averaging 46 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Domantas Sabonis is a walking double-double, and San Antonio ranks just 21st against opposing small forwards. Thaddeus Young is still under $6,000, and has averaged over 35 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks. Robert Covington is still cheap as well, and gets a terrible Knicks defense. Trey Lyles is below $5,000 on both sides, and this is going to be a value to target with Aldridge doubtful, and Poeltl out. You also have Kristaps and Bam Adebayo who are centers, and both Milwaukee and Chicago rank bottom five in defensive efficiency.
Centers
- Hassan Whiteside – GPP
- Nikola Vucevic
- Rudy Gobert
- Jonas Valanciunas
- Mitchell Robinson – GPP
- Gorgui Dieng
Analysis: The defensive stats saved Rudy Gobert the last game, as he is averaging just 32 fantasy points per game. However he still is on the cheaper side, and in a great spot against Cleveland, who rank 24th against opposing centers. Jonas Valanciunas is in a great spot and finally bounce back after a few average games. Valanciunas has 45 rebounds in the last two games. Nikola Vucevic is a mismatch for Whiteside, and he is a strong option around the $8,500 range. Mitchell Robinson is averaging 36 fantasy points per game over the last two weeks, and is only a GPP play for me. Gorgui Dieng will see around 25 mintues tonight, and is a cheap option to consider given the Memphis injury situation.
