Quarterbacks

Aaron Rodgers checks in as the highest priced quarterback this week and deservingly so. He has been crushing this season and has an 87% consistency rating based off his Week 14 projection. The Packers have one of the highest totals on the slate and he gets a prime matchup against the Lions, who have allowed 19.1 FD points per game to quarterbacks this season. There are quite a few high-priced quarterback options to use this week. Justin Herbert is another, who faces the Falcons. This is certainly a far better spot than last week as they have allowed 285 passing yards and two touchdowns per game. The middle $7000s are intriguing with Tom Brady, Kirk Cousins, and Matt Ryan in decent spots. The upside is there for each of them. Brady, I feel the most comfortable with in cash games compared to the other two.

Running Backs

Another interesting week at running back awaits us. Dalvin Cook and Christian McCaffrey are over $10,000. Neither are in a good spot and McCaffrey is dealing with a few injuries and remains questionable. Derrick Henry and Aaron Jones certainly make the most sense out of the four. They get excellent matchups and are big favorites. Both the Lions and Jaguars have allowed over 20 FD points per game to running backs this season. Chris Carson, Ezekiel Elliott, and Austin Ekeler are strong plays below $8,000. All three are in excellent spots. David Montgomery is the value option that is the strongest again. He faces Houston who has allowed 140 yards on the ground per game and 1.42 rushing touchdowns to running backs. You can certainly make some pivots with Mostert, Taylor, and Hines. If you want to get really weird and find some low owned back, Melvin Gordon is $6,100 and faces a Carolina defense that is bottom five in fantasy points allowed to running backs.

Wide Receivers

Much like the quarterbacks, each one of their top options is in a great spot this week. Davante Adams has the highest floor of the slate at wide receiver and a 30.5 fantasy point ceiling over the last eight games. Despite the 20 projection, Adams still has a 62.5% consistency rating. Tyreek Hill and DK Metcalf are next in line. The Dolphins are not a bad defense but Hill has been tremendous. Keenan Allen is in a good spot against the Falcons, who have allowed 28.2 fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season. Both him and Williams are intriguing. A pivot away from Derrick Henry is to go with the passing options again. Brown and Davis are in great spots with the Jags secondary struggling to stop anyone. The Buccaneers-Vikings game is filled with mid-range options and I love all of them in this spot. The difficult thing remains for the Bucs that you have so many options. If you are looking for value, Hilton, Lamb, Williams, Chark, and Pittman are all intriguing plays.

Tight Ends

There is no great matchup for the high-priced tight ends but Travis Kelce and Darren Waller remain the best fantasy options. I don’t know how much exposure I will have just because of how many RBs and WRs I will want to pay up for, but they are strong options and give you a more unique lineup build. Hunter Henry is the cheaper option I like this week. He has a strong matchup against the Falcons, who have allowed 10.2 FD points per game to tight ends on the season. You can continue to go back to the well with Hockenson and Tonyan who have been solid over the past few weeks.

Defense

Unlike over on DraftKings, Seattle is the most expensive defense against the Jets. It makes sense and while the Seahawks defense hasn’t been great, they should be the safer play of the weekend. The Saints will see a change of quarterbacks and while we surely liked them more with Wentz starting, this is still a rookie quarterback playing behind a bad offensive line. Kansas City being only $4,200 is something that stood out to me an early week. They face a Miami team that lacks the explosiveness to keep up with a Chiefs offense and also has a below-average offensive line.
