FanDuel NFL Week 2 Cheat Sheet: Daily Fantasy Rankings, Projections, Stacks (Free Download)
Contents
Week 1 was a high scoring week and Week 2 is projected to be the same if not even higher. We have a lot of the top offenses on the main slate, like Atlanta, Dallas, Kansas City, and Baltimore. There are not many games I am just crossing off but there are a few teams that I am just flat out avoiding. The Jets and the Dolphins are two teams I want zero part of based off their offense and their matchup. Injuries continue to pile up and new ones are seemingly popping up every day. Keep tabs on those injuries and I will update if there are any changes to the cheat sheet.

Quarterbacks
If you really just want to plug and play Lamar Jackson, that is the easiest way to start the lineup. He will torch Houston and the stacking options are not badly priced. Jackson has a big edge over Mahomes this week for me, although you can rule out using him as a pivot. There are a lot of great options like Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, and Kyler Murray who are all over $1,000 cheaper than Jackson. Getting out of the $8,000s, Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers are both right there. Overall my quarterback in my lineups will be Jackson where I am not stacking and then using the quarterback with whoever I am stacking with.
Running Backs
It is a bit easier to plug in a top-end running back and still fill out your lineup with quality wide receivers. The one I am looking at the most is Derrick Henry. The volume was already insane on Monday Night Football and he will have a completely different matchup with the Jaguars being a bottom-five run defense. Henry is the one I will be using the most, but you can make a case for surrounding names as pivots. Ezekiel Elliott gets an above-average matchup and the Cowboys are five-point favorites. Christian McCaffrey is in play but Tampa certainly makes opposing backs work and the receiving appeal isn’t as high on FD.
In the mid-range, Aaron Jones is a solid way to get exposure to the Packers as they should be leading this one giving him a great game script. I do expect the most popular back to be Jonathan Taylor this week because he is only $5,800 and now has a safer outcome for touches. However, Kenyan Drake and Raheem Mostert are both interesting mid-range plays in the mid $6,000s.
Wide Receivers
I am going to break this down in a game-by-game sort of way because a lot of these matchups I really like taking wide receivers from both sides. Starting with the game in Dallas, there are six viable wide receivers to use in DFS. Calvin Ridley and Amari Cooper are not priced up enough for their roles and Julio Jones at $8,200 is certainly reasonable with the amount of value out there. You also have a cheap Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, and Russell Gage. I would get exposure to these names here in any way shape or form.
In the Packers and Lions game, Davante Adams is the true stud to lock into your lineup. The volume will be there each and every week and this is a great matchup against a young and weak Detroit secondary. I don’t believe you need Allen Lazard in a lineup outside of anything but a three-man Packers stack with Aaron Rodgers. On the flip side of this game, Marvin Jones is worth a look at tournaments as a correlation piece.
Tampa will welcome Carolina this week and there are a lot of receivers in play. This is a great spot for Mike Evans to rebound, and I like Chris Godwin as well but he was in concussion protocol. On the flip side of this game, you can go back to the well with DJ Moore and Robby Anderson.
The Cardinals fed DeAndre Hopkins in a major way with 16 targets and he gets a weaker Washington secondary this week. It is hard to get excited about the other Cardinals wideouts, but Christian Kirk had more downfield threats with his five targets in comparison to Larry Fitzgerald. Terry McLaurin is a nice GPP piece with Washington expected to throw more.
Within the Chiefs and Ravens offenses, I won’t be overweight on many Chiefs wide receivers but will have a few one-off lineups with them in it. Marquise Brown is still too cheap and gets a weak Houston secondary. On the opposite side of these games with the Chargers and Texans they are nothing more than tournament darts for me with Mike Williams and Will Fuller being the preferred options.
There are some random guys I haven’t talked about yet, like DJ Chark, Parris Campbell, Allen Robinson, Adam Thielen, and the Bills wideouts. I mention the preferred game style to use them in when you download the excel.
Tight Ends
Mark Andrews is looking like the move here as Houston has struggled against tight ends dating back to last season. This Baltimore offense has an implied total just about at 30 points and Andrews continues to be a focal piece for Lamar Jackson. Given FanDuel is very lenient with pricing, Andrews, Brown, Jackson stack can easily be fired up again without getting left in the dust for the rest of the lineup. TJ Hockenson is an interesting name at $5,600, especially with Kenny Golladay not looking likely to return. This should be a game where the Lions are trailing as well. Jonnu Smith is an interesting value if you want to dip below $5,000. I liked him coming into the season and he had seven targets and a touchdown in Week 1. It is also a positive matchup for him against Jacksonville.
Defense
In terms of value at defense, Arizona is just $3,600 and going up against a rather weak offensive team as Washington will visit. The Cardinals have the best value projected and Washington sits with just a 20.25 implied total. With the Cardinals offensive likely to push the pace and score a bit more than the Eagles, Washington should have to press which means more chances for turnovers and sacks. The Bears continued the trend in Week 1 of not being a great fantasy defense. While they were a better real-life defense they struggled to get turnovers and sacks. That should change against the Giants, and $4,000 is a very nice price tag. If you are paying up at the position, it makes sense to just go with the Bills or the 49ers as they face two of the weakest offenses in the league, and both have been known for giving up big scores to opposing defenses.
