FanDuel NFL Week 5 Cheat Sheet: Daily Fantasy Rankings, Projections, Stacks (Download Free)

The weekly NFL FanDuel Cheatsheet can be downloaded for free by clicking the green excel picture. It’ll bring you the top cash picks, tournament options, stacks, and best values. Also, be sure to check out our DFS Projections and Rankings to help cover other slates and to further the decision-making process for those lineups. Look for the Cheatsheet each Wednesday as it will cover the upcoming main slate, which is the 1 PM and 4 PM games on FanDuel. I did not cover the Bills-Titans game as it has been moved to a later date and the same goes for the Broncos-Patriots game, which brings the main slate to ten total games.

Quarterbacks

The quarterback position has quite a few options this week. Starting with the pay up guys, Patrick Mahomes gets a weak Raiders secondary and is always in play. Lamar Jackson’s injury tags scare me a bit as he has an illness listed and a knee injury. Jackson is still a nice pivot away from Prescott and Mahomes. With Josh Allen off the board now, Kyler Murray and Deshaun Watson pop up on the radar a bit more. Murray’s rushing ability has masked his passing inefficiency but gets a Jets defense that has allowed 1.7 passing touchdowns per game this season. Teddy Bridgewater hasn’t had the breakout game yet but the Falcons have allowed 2.9 passing touchdowns and 29.5 FD points per game to opposing quarterbacks. I love the Panthers stack this week and the price tag of about everyone on this offense is too low.

Running Backs

There are a few weeks I am really centered around this week and my two favorites are Clyde Edwards-Helaire against Las Vegas and Kareem Hunt against Indy. The Colts are missing quite a few of their defensive players and especially in the linebacking core. Hunt gets a bump with the Nick Chubb injury, plus the $7,000 is just a flat out bargain. As for Edwards-Helaire, the Raiders are allowing 27.8 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. These two are in the best matchup for me, alongside Ezekiel Elliott who gets the Giants in what should be a game where Dallas doesn’t have to chase the game.

A couple of sub-$7000 names to look at this week are Todd Gurley and David Johnson. While their careers have gone more towards being average backs, they are cheap and get great matchups against weak run defenses this week. Mike Davis, James Robinson, and the 49ers running backs are also values to consider in good spots.

Wide Receivers

Starting with the Carolina-Atlanta game, there are a handful of wide receivers to look at here. DJ Moore and Robby Anderson are not badly priced against a defense that has allowed the tenth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Julio Jones status is unknown for this week and Russell Gage would become a better play. Calvin Ridley is the top dog though and nobody can check him in this secondary. Dallas and Kansas City both bring a top-end option with Amari Cooper and Tyreek Hill. Both have put up an average of 17 FD points over the last three games. However, Dallas also has Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb as values again.

There are a lot of great ways to get some lower owned players at wide receiver. The Rams go up against a Washington defense that has allowed 30+ points in three straight games and now takes on another strong offense. Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp are both in play this week and project for lower ownership as well. With Odell Beckham coming off some big weeks and DJ Chark against a weaker Houston secondary, I doubt many will be going here.

For values this week I do like the Giants/Cowboys wideouts. Darius Slayton and Golden Tate get a very weak secondary. CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup are both under $6,00 still and are a part of this powerful Dallas offense that continues to put up monster numbers. As mentioned, Gage is only $5,600 and would get a bump with Julio out. Diontae Johnson is oddly $5,800 and the Eagles have middling numbers against wide receivers, plus Big Ben has looked his way often to start the year.

Tight Ends

This is a pretty strong pay up week for the position, especially with Travis Kelce facing the Raiders this week. The Chiefs offense continues to be one of the top threats of the weekend, and Kelce is averaging 13.2 FD points per game over the last three games. However, George Kittle is $700 cheaper, and my favorite tight end of the week. He gets a Miami defense he should be able to punish and the 49ers offense is starting to get healthy. This makes Mark Andrews and Darren Waller just pivot away from them. Tyler Higbee has a nice matchup but his usage in the offense remains questionable. I would save for GPPs as well here. Washington has allowed 12.5 FD points per game to tight ends this season. Evan Engram is in a good spot and the Dallas defense has struggled this season. At $5,500 I love the price tag, but can’t trust him in cash games.

Defense

It is another straight forward week at defense. The Rams are a bit expensive but I do like them against a Washington team that made a quarterback-change throughout the week. This offense is bad regardless of whether it is Kyle Allen or Dwayne Haskins under center. With the Steelers being $4,400 and averaging over nine fantasy points to start the season, it is hard for me to go elsewhere with this group. They are one of the best defenses in the league and now get a banged-up Eagles team that has been struggling to score. The Chiefs are only $4,300 and offer up to be a decent bargain this week against the Raiders. Dallas has certainly deserved the cheap price tag and they will have a chance to redeem themselves. I expect them to be highly owned, to the point where I am fading in tournaments.
