Kansas City Chiefs +3 vs Baltimore Ravens

The Kansas City Chiefs (2-0) take on the Baltimore Ravens (2-0) in a Week 3 Monday Night Football matchup. The Chiefs are coming off of a come from behind win against the Los Angeles Chargers (23-20). The Ravens followed their Week 1 blowout of the Cleveland Browns with a Week 2 blowout of the Houston Texans.

For the first time in a long time, the Chiefs enter this game as an underdog. After a shaky performance last week against a rookie quarterback in Justin Herbert, many (including sportsbooks) think that the Ravens have the upper hand in this contest.

Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL right now and he still has all of the offensive weapons he could possibly need. Travis Kelce is the league’s best tight end. The Kansas City defense is an underrated unit that has been playing very well since the second half of last season. This will be the biggest test of the regular season for this Ravens team when you factor in both the elite Chiefs offense and sneaky good defense.

If any team can figure out how to win against this Ravens defense it will be the Chiefs. Andy Reid has been around the league for a long time. He will know how to prepare his elite offense to take on this tough defense. Mahomes can make throws 99% of other NFL quarterbacks in history can’t make. This is an offense that can beat you in every way possible and they will show that on Monday night.

As for the Chiefs defense slowing down that Ravens offense, we will see. Containing Lamar Jackson and forcing him to beat you with his arm is what the gameplan will be. If the Chiefs offense can keep putting up points, it will take away from the Ravens plans of a run-heavy offense.

After a subpar performance in Week 2, look for the Chiefs to rebound in Week 3 with a win in what could be a potential AFC Championship Game preview. Most people will be on the Ravens in this one but don’t bet against Mahomes.
