A sports betting bill was filed in Arizona last week that was identical to a bill filed from last year. SB 1525 is a bill that will allow for sports betting on and off tribal reservations in Arizona. The bill is sponsored by Senator Sonny Borrelli (R) and Representative Stephen Pierce (R). The bill allows for tribal casinos and the bars they are partnered with to offer sportsbooks via betting kiosks. The bill does not allow for mobile betting.

Tulane (+16.5) vs #25 Houston – 9:00 PM
The Tulane Green Wave (10-11) take on the #25 Houston Cougars (17-5) tonight in Houston. Tulane is now on a five-game losing streak after falling to SMU 82-67 on Saturday. Houston saw their five-game winning streak end after losing to Cincinnati 64-62 on Saturday.
Tulane started the season 7-1 and has since lost 10 of their last 13 games. The Green Wave are down to 256th in points scored per game. They are 270th in FG% but shoot the ball well from deep, rankings 62 in 3PT%. The Tulane defense hasn’t been much better as they are 184th in points allowed per game. They struggle to defend from everywhere on the court, ranking 290th in opponent FG% and 274th in opponent 3PT%.
Houston is an above average scoring team that ranks 116th in points scored per game. However, they are just 230th in FG% and 156th in 3PT%. The Cougars defense has been very good this season. They allow the 43rd-fewest points per game in the country. Houston has allowed the 15th-lowest opponent FG% and 77th-lowest opponent 3PT%.
You would think that all signs would point to Houston in this game but I disagree. Yes, Tulane has struggled on paper but this team is better than some people think. Are they a tournament team this season? No. However, they are capable of playing spoiler the rest of this season. Tulane has some solid wins over Utah, Temple and Cincinnati so the potential is certainly there for this team. This spread in this game is very high for a Tulane team that is better than they have played in some games this season. I like the Green Wave to cover the spread in this one and the formula agrees as it has Houston winning this game by just 12 points (63-75).
