Weekly NFL Picks Contest $25k
Every week you can enter the weekly Mega Contest brought to you by The Ringer on FanDuel. The way this contest works is that you pick five games with spreads, and one of your picks is worth two points, i.e., the double down. If you finish the regular season in the top 100, then you get put into the playoff competition where you can compete for your share of $25k, again, for absolutely free. The first place is $10,000, so do not wait to enter this contest.
FanDuel offers other weekly pools for all kinds of sports, including more NFL competitions. All of these pools found in the “Promotions” tab are completely free, and you can compete to win real cash. This week you can compete in the NFL pool as long as you enter before kickoff on Sunday! Do not miss out on all these great offers by FanDuel Sportsbook.
Double Down: Panthers +2.5
If you are competing in the Mega Contest provided by The Ringer, then I think that the Panthers +2.5 is just about as good as it gets for a double down this week. The Panthers are taking on a Lions team that is missing out on their best weapon in D’Andre Swift. Swift was just breaking out the previous few games and, unfortunately, received a concussion during practice, meaning that he is out for this game. Now, the offense will rely on a Kenny Golladay-less passing game.
The Panthers will score and drive all over the Lions’ defense. Matt Rhule has shown thus far that he can compete with the best of them, and Teddy Bridgewater is trending towards playing. As long as Teddy is the QB, he will be able to facilitate the ball to the playmakers on offense, DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, and Curtis Samuel. The Lions basically have nobody to slow down any of these guys, and Mike Davis will be successful on the ground.
Somehow the Panthers come into this game as underdogs, and that makes them an easy choice picking with spreads because I think that they dominate the game and win. This is my clear double down choice of the week and has to be one of the lock-in picks if you were able to get the 2.5 spread. You can check out the live line on FanDuel Sportsbook right now, and maybe place some cash on this game!
