Giants Vs. Eagles Same Game Parlay Picks, Strategy, & Odds For NFL Playoffs (1/21/23)
For the third time this season, the New York Giants square off against their NFC East rival, the Philadelphia Eagles. This time there is a spot in the conference championship game on the line. The Eagles are 2-0 against the Giants this season, with a dominant 48-22 win in week 14 and a less meaningful victory in week 18 over the Giants’ backups.
In this article, I’ll build a Same Game Parlay (SGP) for this Giants vs. Eagles matchup. For those new to the world of sports betting, SGPs allow you to combine multiple wagers across the spread, total, and player prop markets to get an even better payout. You need to hit on every bet to win the parlay, so coming up with a winning combination is an exercise in balancing risk and reward.
As always, never bet more than you can afford to lose. While the payout for hitting a SGP can be great, the odds are high for a reason.

NFL Divisional Round Same Game Parlay – Giants vs. Eagles
A good strategy for building a solid Same Game Parlay is to look for a combination of bets that are closely correlated. Since you need to hit on every bet to win the parlay, picking carefully coordinated bets that increase the likelihood of each bet hitting can be a recipe for success – and some nice winnings.
For this game, I am going to build my SGP based on an assumption that Jalen Hurts looks like himself and doesn’t show any lingering effects of the sprained throwing shoulder he suffered in week 15. That means he will not be hesitant to run the ball to protect his shoulder, and the Eagles will deploy their typical RPO-heavy game plan rather than the simplified offense they ran in week 18 to limit Hurts’ exposure to big hits.
While it’s unlikely that Hurts is 100% recovered, his absence from the injury report this week gives me confidence that he will not have any limitations in this game and the Eagles’ offense will be back to normal.
Based on that assumption, I am going to start by picking a Jalen Hurts anytime touchdown at -125 odds. With 13 rushing touchdowns this season, Hurts was one shy of Cam Newton’s 2011 record for single-season rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, and Newton played one more game that season than Hurts’ 15 this year. If Hurts is healthy and playing his normal game, there is some good value with this pick, even at -125 odds.
Then I am going to stack that with Hurts over 44.5 rushing yards at -185 odds. He averaged 50.7 rushing yards per game this season and racked up 77 yards against the Giants in week 14. Again, if he is healthy enough to rush his normal amount, then he should have no problem clearing this number against a Giants’ run defense that ranked 32nd in DVOA and 29th in EPA per play this season.
Next I am going to add the player prop pick I felt most confident in, which was the over on Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert’s receiving yards. The Giants have been vulnerable to tight ends all season. They were in the bottom 10 in catches and yards allowed to tight ends, and that was before giving up 10 catches and 129 yards to T.J. Hockenson last week. So I’m picking Goedert to go over 54.5 receiving yards at +105 odds.
If all three of those things happen, then that means the Eagles’ offense will be humming and they are likely to be playing with a lead. In that case the Giants are likely to be in plenty of passing situations, so let’s get some action on their most dangerous weapon, Saquon Barkley.
When I took the under on Barkley’s rushing prop line of 70.5, I pointed out that he could get more involved through the air in this game. He has been particularly effective as a pass catcher over his last four games, with 20 receptions on 28 targets for 133 yards. I expect that trend to continue, especially if the Giants are in a negative script, so let’s finish up our SGP by picking over 29.5 receiving yards for Barkley at +110 odds.
With those four picks, we have a nice four-leg parlay with +800 odds. If you want to be even more aggressive, you could add a game line to the parlay. I considered buying the 7.5-point spread down to Eagles -3.5 to boost the overall parlay to +1000, but I decided it wasn’t worth it.
Here is a summary of our juicy four-leg Same Game Parlay.
- Jalen Hurts anytime touchdown (-125)
- Jalen Hurts over 44.5 rushing yards (-185)
- Dallas Goedert over 54.5 receiving yards (+105)
- Saquon Barkley over 29.5 receiving yards (+110)
Full SGP Odds: +800 ($10 wins $90)
