No team has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit with only three teams being able to stretch it out to a game seven. The Celtics are in a good position as any as they have the chance to make history on their own home court.

With the NBA action dwindling to a game a night, let’s dive deep into the matchup and muster up a SGP off of how I think the game script will go. The duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown needed to lead the charge in order to force a game seven and that is exactly what they did as they combined for 57 points. Expect more of the same as the stars take center stage in what will be an exciting finish to this series.

SGP Leg 1: Over 203

While game seven unders will be a trendy search in the time leading up to tipoff, I’m taking the contrarian approach by adding the over as my first leg of the SGP. The Celtics offense has been rounding back into form as Jaylen Brown has bounced back from his cold stretch, relentlessly attacking the Heat’s interior as one of the best slashers in the league.

Tatum has also quietly put together an impressive scoring stretch in the back half of this series, fighting through doubles and pressure on the inside as he has carried the Celtics with his versatile scoring prowess. When Tatum is able to stretch out the court, this opens up lanes for Brown to attack and generate a high-quality look at the rim.

As for the Heat, they have suffered from regression back towards the mean after an offensive explosion in games one through three. This has halted their scoring pace, yet still able to generate their looks by slashing through the Celtics interior. This mimics the Celtics identity, setting up their offense in the middle and hitting an open shooter on the perimeter when the defense collapses on the ball handler.

SGP Leg 2: Jayson Tatum Double-Double Yes

Another game has come and gone, and this prop cashes once again. He did this in impressive fashion as he finished game six with 31 points and 11 rebounds. After riding this prop for three games straight, I am once again adding it again as Tatum routinely puts himself in good position to clear this by relentlessly attacking the glass.

Not only has he played a major role in helping Al Horford on the glass when on defense against the far more athletic Bam Adebayo, but Tatum puts himself in good position for second chance opportunities as he drives towards the rim. When he misses his layups by a soft bounce, Tatum does a great job at staying put and looking for the tip in order to generate quick and easy rebounds.

SGP Leg 3: Jaylen Brown u2.5 Threes

We took a game off from this prop as I feared Brown was rounding back into form after sustaining an injury to his hand. That was a terrible decision on my part as he finished game six shooting 0-4 from deep.

I am going back to the well with this one as that seemed to not be the case, still struggling to get into a rhythm from deep. Even with the lack of Miami pressure on the opposite side of the court, Brown cannot hit at a consistent enough clip to be a major threat to this prop. He counters this by attacking the rim at an efficient clip, inserting his presence by scoring 26 points on 9-16 shooting.

In desperation mode, expect more drives to the rim in an effort to limit their stalled-out possessions from his clunkers from deep.

SGP Leg 4: Jimmy Butler u28.5 Points

Counter intuitive towards our over, but Jimmy Butler will struggle to clear this number as the Celtics pressure has limited his quality of looks at the rim. He finished game six by shooting an abysmal 5-21, resulting in 24 total points.

This has been done by shading a help man into the interior, pressuring Butler as he slashes into the middle. This either forces Butler into a low-quality look at the rim, or to kick it out to one of their secondary scorers on the perimeter.
