Ryan Tannehill Longest Passing Completion Over 34.5 Yards

Ryan Tannehill doesn’t get enough credit for his deep-ball accuracy. That aspect of his game is even more critical now that Derrick Henry is out to open up opportunities for the other running backs on the roster. The Texans’ secondary has not been outstanding this season, and they have allowed the sixth-highest rate of explosive passing plays this year. Meanwhile, Tannehill has gone over 35 yards on a completion in four of his last five games and over 50 yards in two of his previous three. Matthew Stafford (68), Kyler Murray (47), Carson Wentz (52), and Josh Allen (37) have all reached this mark against Houston in recent weeks, and I expect Tannehill to do the same.

David Johnson Over 34.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards

It’s been tough to trust David Johnson this season, but I believe this is a good spot for him to produce. The Texans have spoken about giving David Johnson a more significant role in the offense after the team traded mark Ingram to the Saints, and Johnson has responded with 40+ yards from scrimmage in two of his last three games. The Titans have a vulnerable defense, and Football Outsiders has tracked them as giving up 40 receiving yards per game to the running back position, right around league average. Houston is unpredictable in terms of who gets the snaps among the team’s running backs, but Johnson should be able to capitalize in this matchup if he’s on the field.

D’Onta Foreman Anytime TD Scorer

Against the Saints last week, D’Onta Foreman took over the red-zone rushing role for the Titans as he saw three carries in the red zone compared to just one for Adrian Peterson and none for Jeremy McNichols. Foreman was the most explosive running back for Tennessee, and we expect him to start to see a more significant role in the offense moving forward. The Texans have allowed 1.7 rushing touchdowns, the second-most in the NFL, and the Titans should have plenty of chances to get in the end zone against a putrid defense. Foreman also has a bit of a revenge narrative here as the Texans drafted him if you’re into that sort of thing.

Marcus Johnson Over 33.5 Receiving Yards

I wanted to bet on a Titans’ receiver other than A.J. Brown to succeed against the Saints last week, but I didn’t have confidence in which receiver would step up. Marcus Johnson wound up being that guy as he played on 63% of snaps and caught five passes for 100 yards. Mike Vrabel spoke glowingly of Johnson after the game, and we should expect him to work his way into more of a full-time role with Julio Jones on Injured Reserve. The Texans allowed Van Jefferson to go for 88 receiving yards a couple of weeks ago as the WR3 in the offense, and their secondary is highly vulnerable. Since the start of October, the Texans have allowed ten different receivers to go for 35+ yards, and Johnson is the next in line.
