Indianapolis Colts Vs. Houston Texans Player Props (12/5/21)
Contents
This Sunday, December 5th at noon EST, the AFC South division rivalry takes place between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans. The two teams are coming off a loss from last week and are looking to change the course of momentum. The Colts are entering Week 13 in 2nd place in the division, being 6-6, while the Texans have struggled, tied for last in the division 2-9. The last time the teams met, the Colts blew the Texans out of the water with an astonishing 31-3 win. Can the Texans overthrow their AFC South rivals and redeem their previous loss? It might take a fantastic performance like we saw them play against the Titans to pull off this upset.

Tyrod Taylor Under 213.5 Passing Yards
Tyrod Taylor has had a bit of a misfit season. He was injured in Week 2 for a hamstring strain against the Cleveland Browns, which caused him to miss six games in the middle of the season. Since his injury, Taylor has not been throwing for significant yards. So far this season, Taylor is averaging only 184.2 passing yards per game. Tyrod has only surpassed the 200 passing yard mark twice this season against the Jaguars in Week 1 prior to his injury and in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. The Colts’ defense is significantly better than the Jaguars and Dolphins, so it would leave Taylor less room to make impactful passing plays. Tyrod is also missing his top offensive receivers. David Johnson, Brandin Cooks, and Chris Conley are all questionable due to injury. These absences will seriously impact Taylor’s ability to throw downfield.
Jonathan Taylor Over 106.5 Rushing Yards
Jonathon Taylor has claimed the throne as one of fantasy football’s best players. Taylor puts up staggering yards and holds the season record for most yards and touchdowns by a running back. Taylor has an average of 100.6 rushing yards per game, which he has boomed past several times. Two weeks ago, Jonathan was able to rush for 185 yards and five touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills. He really takes advantage of struggling defense and is unforgiving with an open field. In the last match-up against the Texans, Taylor quickly achieved 145 rushing yards and seems very capable of doing it again. The Texans have one of the worst rush defenses in the league and will make it easy for Jonathon to take advantage.
Carson Wentz Under 240.5 Passing Yards
Carson Wentz has led his Indianapolis Colts to a 6-6 season through Week 13. He has put up significant yards against big teams like 306 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 402 against the Baltimore Ravens. However, Wentz does not have the same performances against lower-ranked teams. He only was able to put up 223 yards against the Texans last time they met. I also believe the play calls will be centered around rushing the ball with Jonathon Taylor instead of throwing the ball downfield. The Texans have one of the worst rush defenses in the league, and the Colts should take full advantage of that instead of trying to force the ball in the air.
