Indianapolis Colts Vs. Las Vegas Raiders Player Prop Picks

Both the Colts and Raiders had clear playoff aspirations this season, but things just haven’t gone according to plan. The Raiders have somehow blown three 17+ point leads this year as Josh McDaniels has struggled in his first year as head coach. For the Colts, former Jeff Saturday will be making his coaching debut after replacing Frank Reich.

Full disclosure – I’m not officially playing anything from this game. There’s simply far too much uncertainty between Saturday’s coaching debut, McDaniels’ continued struggles, and injuries on both sides. However, I was assigned this player props article, and I plan on finding the best value available for you guys. Let’s get to work.

Davante Adams Over 81.5 Receiving Yards (-115 DraftKings)

The connection between Derek Carr and Davante Adams hasn’t always been perfect this season, and Carr has been off target on 15.3% of his throws to Adams per TruMedia. That’s significantly higher than Aaron Rodgers’s 8.9% of off-target throws to Adams from 2020-21.

Still, Adams has 95+ yards in four of his last five games outside of the game against the Saints where he was clearly still dealing with the effects of having the flu during the week leading up to the game. The Colts’ front seven has been stout, but they rank 17th in pass defense DVOA and 25th in passing success rate allowed.

In particular, the Colts have struggled against opposing WR1s as they rank 27th in DVOA against them per Football Outsiders. Adams is the best wide receiver they’ve faced this season, and he’ll be the clear focal point for the offense, particularly with Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller out.

Josh Jacobs Longest Rush Under 17.5 Yards (-114 BetRivers)

The three-game breakout from Josh Jacobs was electrifying and tons of fun, but he hasn’t had the same juice over the past few weeks. In particular, after ripping off runs of 43 and 37 yards against the Broncos and Chiefs, he’s been under this longest rush number in each of his last three games.

The Raiders’ offensive line still hasn’t been great as they rank just 27th in run-blocking per PFF. Meanwhile, the Colts rank top five in run defense DVOA, PFF tackling, and yards per carry allowed. That’s while facing Derrick Henry twice, making their run defense metrics all the more impressive.

Jacobs is an elusive runner who can break a long run on any given play, but he simply hasn’t been doing it lately, and this isn’t a great matchup for him. I’d be looking to play the under here.

Daniel Carlson Over 7.5 Kicking Points (-108 Caesars)

I’m at a loss for what to do with the Colts’ players in this game, so I’ll lob a kicker prop at you before we get out of here. The Raiders’ team total is set at 22.5 points for this game, meaning Carlson will be relied upon regardless of whether Las Vegas is leading or trailing this week.

Outside of the Raiders’ bizarre shutout loss against the Saints, Carlson has been over 7.5 kicking points in every game since Week 1, where he had 7 points. In four games this season, he’s had 10+ kicking points as the Raiders rank just 23rd in red zone offense and have struggled to finish drives with touchdowns rather than field goals.
