Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Seattle Seahawks Player Props (10/31/21)
Contents
The Jacksonville Jaguars definitely needed a bye week. The team just came off a morale-building first win against the Miami Dolphins in London after weeks of disspiriting losses and off-the-field issues. Optimism around the team is likely higher than it’s been under head coach Urban Meyer after a streak-breaking win and some rest, but now it’s time to get win number two. On the other side is the Seattle Seahawks, who must be feeling deflated after two straight primetime losses without starting QB Russell Wilson. The Jaguars travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks this Sunday, so let’s take a look at a few player props worth betting on.

Trevor Lawrence Over 219.5 Passing Yards
Considering he was a top candidate for Offensive Rookie of the Year heading into the season, Trevor Lawrence didn’t exactly wow early on. The number one overall pick threw seven interceptions in his first three games, and it looked like the entire season might be a disaster for the young passer. However, he’s been stringing together some better performances as of late. He’s coming off a 319-yard game in London against the Miami Dolphins and faces one of the worst passing defenses in the NFL. Seattle’s allowing 280.6 passing yards per game, and that could mean another good day for the former Clemson quarterback.
James Robinson Over 69.5 Rushing Yards
I was pleading with the Jaguars to start actually using James Robinson more often, and it looks like they’re finally listening. The running back is making the team forget about first-round pick Travis Etienne, who went down with an injury before the start of the season. Robinson has averaged 97 yards per game his past four performances, and I believe he’ll be able to build off of that. Seattle can’t do much defensively right now, and they’re going to have trouble stopping the young running back on Sunday.
Tyler Lockett Under 46.5 Receiving Yards
Ever since Geno Smith took over, Tyler Lockett hasn’t been a big contributor on offense. The receiver has a total of four catches for 47 yards in two Geno Smith starts. Smith might be the type of backup to fill in when needed, but he’s a huge step down from Russell Wilson. After an explosive start to the season, Lockett simply hasn’t been a major factor in the passing game, as he hasn’t had over 57 yards since Week 2. Take the under for Lockett this week as the offense waits for Wilson to take the field again.
D.K. Metcalf First TD Scorer
I know I was just downplaying Geno Smith’s passing abilities (who hasn’t?), but he’s getting the ball to D.K. Metcalf. The two connected on an 84-yard TD to put points on the board on Monday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints, and I could see it happening again against a weak Jaguars defense. It’s never a sure thing, but I like the value of Metcalf to nab the first TD at +750 on DraftKings.
