As we enter Week 14 of the NFL regular season, all eyes are on the 8-4 Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs are on a hot five-game win streak, dusting opponents in their path. This week, the team opposing the Chiefs is the Las Vegas Raiders. The 6-6 Raiders are coming off a damaging 17-15 loss to the Washington Football Team. The AFC West teams have already met earlier in the year in Week 10, resulting in a Chiefs destructive 41-14 win. This week, the Raiders will have to show significant improvement to overthrow the mighty Chiefs and stop the exceptional Patrick Mahomes.

Derek Carr Under 1.5 Passing TDs
The Las Vegas Raiders are coming off a disappointing performance from the entire team. Derek Carr was able to rack up 249 passing yards but was unable to throw for a touchdown. In fact, Carr has not thrown over one touchdown in his past three games. He was able to find receivers in the endzone twice the last time the two teams met, but the Chiefs’ defense has continually become more aggressive as the season has progressed. Derek Carr is also averaging 1.4 passing touchdowns per game and only has a season-high of two per game. The Raiders have one of the worst red-zone pass touchdown percentages in the league, and the pressure of Kansas City’s defense will not make it any easier. The Raiders will have better luck attempting to rush into the endzone instead of trying to have Derek Carr throw it in himself.
Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 Passing TDs
The Chiefs’ star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, has had an impressive season. So far, Mahomes has amounted to 3,384 passing yards and 25 passing touchdowns. On average, he is throwing around two touchdowns per game. However, Mahomes had one of his best performances against the Raiders in their last matchup. Mahomes was able to find receivers in the endzone an astonishing five times in Week 10 against the Raiders. He was an unstoppable, accurate machine against the Raiders’ defense. This week, Mahomes will also have his home field advantage to hype him and his receivers to add to the morale and motivation. I suspect Mahomes to be looking for Tyreek Hill, Bryon Pringle, and Travis Kelce in the endzone once again in this matchup.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire Over 62.5 Rushing Yards
The Kansas City’s lead rusher, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, has not been the same dynamic player he was at the beginning of the season. Edwards-Helaire was averaging 72.72 rushing yards within the first four weeks of the season. However, in Week 5, Edwards-Helaire suffered from an MCL sprain that left him on the sideline for five weeks. Since his return, he has been averaging 58.5 yards per game. The stat is still impressive but is a considerable step down from where he was. Against the Raiders, I project play calls will look to Clyde since the Raiders’ rush defense is in the bottom 10 in the league. The Chiefs had a bye week two weeks ago that helped him have a longer recovery and allowed him to have a break to continue to rest. I believe this game against the Raiders could be the comeback of Clyde Edwards-Helaire and have him prove he is back and better than ever.
