Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders Player Prop Picks

The Los Angeles Chargers visit the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 of the 2022-23 NFL Season. Both the Chargers and Raiders won thrillers last week at the last second of each of their games. This should be an interesting matchup for the pecking order of the AFC West. Let’s take a look at some prop bets that make the most sense for this game on Sunday.

Derek Carr Over 253.5 Passing Yards

Derek Carr has been okay at best this year. He has 2,370 passing yards, 18 passing touchdowns seven interceptions, and he has a 63% completion percentage on the year. He’s also hit over this number in 5 of the 11 games that the Raiders have played in. Carr is going to the main catalyst for how far the Raiders can go this year and he needs to be better. The Chargers allow 232 passing yards a game, which is going to be a tough matchup for Carr. Take this bet because Carr has been very good recently and the Chargers defense is tough, but they are dealing with a few injuries too. This game is big for Carr to take that next step this year. Carr has been inconsistent his whole career, but he still has a chance to turn the Raiders season around and it starts with this game.

Justin Herbert Over 289.5 Passing Yards

Justin Herbert has been good this year, but should be better. He has a 3,004 passing yards, 19 passing touchdowns, seven interceptions, and he has a 67% completion percentage on the year. He’s hit over this number in 4 of the 11 games that the Chargers have played in. He’s been steady this year, but hasn’t turned his play up a notch just yet. The Raiders allow 265 passing yards a game which is a decent matchup for Herbert. Take this bet because Herbert has been very consistent this year, his receivers are mostly back healthy, and it’s a very good defensive matchup for him to take advantage of. Herbert is one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL, but needs to take that next step to become an elite quarterback.

Davante Adams Over 93.5 Receiving Yards

Davante Adams has been very good for the Raiders this year. He has 71 receptions, 999 receiving yards, and 10 receiving touchdowns on the year. He’s hit over this number in 7 of the 11 games that the Raiders have played in. He’s been a consistent bright spot for the Raiders this year. The Chargers have allowed 232 passing yards a game, which might be a difficult matchup for Adams in the receiving corps. Adams should also have no issue hitting this number because of the volume of targets that he’ll see in this game regardless. Take this bet because Adams has been very consistent and will see the targets, even if the defensive matchup might be tough. Adams is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and he should continue to prove that in this game too.
