Los Angeles Chargers vs. Philadelphia Eagles Player Props (11/7/21)
Contents
The Los Angeles Chargers had a real chance to take control of the AFC West over the past few weeks. However, that hasn’t been in the cards, as the team has dropped two straight games to the Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots. Now, they’ll need to make some adjustments if they want to not only make the playoffs but play at home in the postseason. The Philadelphia Eagles rebounded in tremendous fashion last Sunday with a 44-6 pummeling of the Detroit Lions. Now, the team has a real opportunity to fight back into the playoff race when they host the Chargers on Sunday. Here are a few playoffs you should think about putting a sprinkle on for this afternoon matchup.

Justin Herbert Under 288.5 Passing Yards
I’m starting to get a little worried about my Justin Herbert MVP ticket. The quarterback has struggled a bit in recent weeks, averaging just 209 yards through the air the past two games. He needs to make some adjustments, but I’m not seeing it happen this week. With all of Philly’s faults, the passing defense has actually been fairly strong this year. The team allows just 220.6 passing yards per game, and should be firing on all cylinders this week to stay in the playoff race. Expect Herbert to go under his yardage total as his struggles last another week.
Jalen Hurts Over 50.5 Rushing Yards
Whatever your opinion is on Jalen Hurts, he sure is fun to watch. The electric Eagles quarterback can be dangerous when he’s on point and has an opportunity to move the ball this week against the Chargers. Hurts is averaging 54 yrds per game this season on the ground and has found the end zone five times. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Chargers have the absolute worst run defenses in the league, allowing 159.6 yards per game. While I don’t expect the Eagles QB to tear apart the Chargers with his arm, he’ll make some big moves with his legs.
Mike Williams Under 55.5 Receiving Yards
As long as Herbert is struggling, I’m fading Mike Williams as well. The wide receiver hasn’t looked the same since his major performance against the Cleveland Browns, averaging just 23 yards his past two games. It might be due to his injury recovery, but something is off with Williams, and I don’t see him turning it around against one of the better pass defenses in the league. He might start returning to form later this season, but I’m not seeing it this week.
Dustin Hopkins Over 1.5 Field Goals
I don’t highlight kickers enough in these props, and I’m looking to turn that around this week. Los Angeles Chargers kicker Dustin Hopkins only just made the move from the Washington Football Team, and he’s primed to make a few big kicks. Hopkins has had two or more field gaols in four games this season, and the Chargers will need him to be on point this Sunday. I could see a few Los Angeles drives stalling against the Eagles, so Hopkins will have plenty of opportunities to get the ball through the uprights.
