Los Angeles Rams vs. Houston Texans Player Props (10/31/21)
Contents
People expected the Los Angeles Rams to be better with QB Matt Stafford, but a 6-1 start is still fairly surprising. The team was challenged at times by the Detroit Lions on Sunday, but they were able to pull things together and keep their win streak going. The Houston Texans have been a bit less successful, to put it kindly. Houston is 1-6 right now and coming off a 31-5 shellacking by the Arizona Cardinals. The team didn’t have high expectations going into the season, but they haven’t been showing many signs of life as of late. Here are a few player props to consider when the Houston Texans host the Los Angeles Rams on Halloween.

Matt Stafford Over 2.5 Passing TDs
Stafford’s got to be loving life in Los Angeles. The former Detroit Lions quarterback is on fire right now, tossing 19 TDs to only four picks along with 2,172 yards. So far, Stafford has had at least three TDs in four out of seven games. He’s gelling with his receivers, especially Cooper Kupp (we’ll get to that later) and he’s gotta love this matchup against the Houston Texans. Houston is allowing 29 points per game, and they’re going to have a tough task against one of the hottest offenses in the league. Grab this value pick at +105 as Stafford and the Rams tear the Texans apart.
Rams Defense First TD
Here’s a fun prop you should take a look at. The Rams defense hasn’t been as productive as they were with Brandon Staley, but they’re still doing enough to win games. Most importantly, the Rams are getting takeaways. They’re totaling 10 interceptions so far, and facing a raw rookie QB in Davis Mills. The former Stanford QB can be an interception machine, as seen when he tossed four picks against the Buffalo Bills. There’s definitely some value in a Rams defensive TD at +2000 on DraftKings.
Cooper Kupp Over 96.5 Receiving Yards
Stafford and Kupp have been a nearly unstoppable duo this year. Kupp has hit at least 100 yards in the majority of his games this year, and won’t miss a step against the Houston Texans. The receiver has been finding the end zone as well, so a first TD prop on Kupp is worth a look. No matter what, he should easily hit over 96.5 yards against a weak Texans secondary.
Robert Woods Under 5.5 Receptions
As much as Stafford favors Kupp in the passing game, he seems to go back and forth on Robert Woods. He’ll have as few as two catches in a game (against the New York Giants) or as many as 12 catches (against the Seattle Seahawks). Most importantly, he’s only gone over 5.5 receptions twice this season. Plus, if the Rams get the points in early, as I expect them to, they might just commit to running the ball and eating up clock in the second half. Go under for Woods until we start seeing more consistency.
