What Can Maryland Sports Bettors Wager On?
Since we know when Maryland sports fans will be able to legally place bets from their smartphones, what will be some of the big events to wager on? Sports bettors will actually have a major live event going on as soon as the betting market goes live, with a World Cup matchup between Germany and Japan. There are also a few other World Cup matchups scheduled throughout the day. The NBA slate is completely stacked for Wednesday, with 13 different matchups throughout the evening. This is also the case in the NHL, with 15 games scheduled on Wednesday, meaning almost every single team in the league will be playing.
And then there’s Thanksgiving Day the day after launch, which is massive for pro football fans. Maryland sports bettors will get to place wagers on the big games of the day, with the Buffalo Bills taking on the Detroit Lions to start off the morning. Then, we get an NFC East showdown as the Dallas Cowboys face the New York Giants and then close out the day with the New England Patriots battling the Minnesota Vikings. Add in plenty of college football throughout the weekend and online sports betting is available at an ideal time in the state of Maryland.
