Donovan Mitchell ($8,300) vs Timberwolves– Donovan Mitchell has taken over the role as the main ball handler in the Jazz offense with Ricky Rubio in and out of the lineup with injury. He comes into this game averaging 26.0 PPG 4.4 APG and 4.4 RPG while shooting 41.7% from behind the arc. He will be going up against a Memphis team that is banged up at the guard position with the injury to Jeff Teague so Mitchell could have the opportunity to go up against some weaker defensive competition tonight. I’m expecting a solid 40+ FPTS type of night from Mitchell at home tonight.
Bojan Bogdanovic ($6,200) vs Thunder– Bojan continues to shoot it well putting up 21.5 PPG and 5.0 RPG on 50% shooting from behind the arc and 49% overall in the last 4 games. He doesn’t do anything else besides scoring extremely well but I think Bogdanovic is an intriguing high floor option even though his price is a little steep. He will get his point but if he is able to make an impact on the glass tonight vs a Thunder team on game 2 of a back-to-back he will exceed his value in this spot.
Harrison Barnes ($5,500) vs Celtics– Barnes has been up and down as a member of the Kings but he has been better rebounding the ball than he was on the Mavericks. He is averaging 7.5 boards in each of his last 4 to go along with 18 PPG. They will be up against the Celtics tonight, a team that Barnes played well against last time around scoring 24 PTS with 8 REB on 57% shooting from the floor. Barnes will always get his shots and with 50%+ shooting in 5 of his last 6 games I expect that to continue tonight.
Domantas Sabonis ($5,400) vs Thunder– Sabonis continues to be a good option off the bench for the Pacers with points and rebounds but he hasn’t been doing it as efficiently as we are used to in his first 2 games back from injury. In those games he is 5/19 from the field and from a guy shooting almost 60% on the year that’s not something we expect. I’m hoping things can turn around tonight vs OKC and if they do he will surely be a great value play because of his $5,400 price tonight.
Nikola Vucevic ($9,200) vs Cavaliers– Nikola has been a beast this season and he will get the opportunity to go up against a team he feasted against in their last meeting. When they met with the Cavs on 3/3 Vuch was superb putting up 28 PTS 13 REB and 6 AST for a total of 61.25 FPTS. While we can’t expect him to replicate that performance easily I still think against the personnel that the Cavs have to offer in the front court he should be able to get whatever he wants.
Monte Morris ($3,500) vs Mavericks– I expect Monte Morris to be highly owned at this price especially with the news that Isiah Thomas will be moved out of the Nuggets rotation. In the last 2 games with increased minutes Morris has been excellent going 11/16 from the field with 12 total assists and a 16.5 PPG average in the 2 games. This was good for two 30+ FPTS performances and at this price that is all you can ask for. Put Morris in your lineup tonight even if you risk owning one of the highest % owned guys in your contest.
