Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($7,200) vs Magic– Gilgeous-Alexander continues to have a great 1st year in OKC playing alongside Chris Paul. He comes into this game averaging 19.7 PPG 9.8 RPG and 5.0 APG while shooting a superb 51.9% from the field in his last 6 games. This translates to 44.5 FPPG and I think that is something that can be sustained. Shai is one of the better rebounding guards in the league and will always get his in the scoring department. He loves to drive it to the rim and with Vucevic down low for the Magic I think Shai will be able to take advantage and have a big night tonight.
Joe Ingles ($5,300) vs Warriors– Joe Ingles hasn’t shot great in his last two games but he continues to do it all for the Jazz putting up 19 assists and 14 rebounds combined in the last two games. He is an elite shooter so I have faith that he will get it going and return to form tonight vs the Warriors who aren’t the best defensive team right now. Ingles has shown he can keep up filling up the stat sheet with Mike Conley back in the rotation and at this price I think he is worth putting on your roster especially in a slate that is this big.
DeMar DeRozan ($8,200) vs Pelicans– A lot of people like to hate on DeMar DeRozan but he has been playing at an elite level as of late for the Spurs. In the Spurs last 6 games he is averaging 25.7 PPG 8.2 RPG and 7.7 APG on 54.8% from the field. He won’t shoot many 3 pointers but he has been efficient in the mid-range area and has taken over a lot of the playmaking for the Spurs lately. He is just doing way too much in the Spurs offense right now for me to pass up on him vs the Pelicans where a lot of the attention will be on Zion.
Marvin Bagley III ($6,500) vs Pistons– Marvin Bagley has seen his minutes increase over the last 3 games with 30+ in all 3 and his play has since improved. He is a double-double threat anytime that he gets consistent playing time and he showed up big time in the Kings last game putting up 15 PTS and 15 REB. The Pistons are one of the worst teams vs opposing big men on DK this season ranking 26th out of 30 teams and Bagley should have the advantage over a lot of Detroit’s big men. Bagley’s price has gone up a lot but I think he is still worth a play tonight vs the Pistons.
Jonas Valanciunas ($6,700) vs Celtics– Valanciunas has quietly had a superb year so far with Ja Morant and company averaging 15 PPG and 10.1 RPG on the season. He has since upped that to 18.6 PPG and 12.6 RPG in his last 5 games and he hasn’t even been playing 30 minutes per game. The Celtics big man tandem is not the best on the defensive end with Theis and Kanter and Valanciunas should have the size and strength advantage vs both of those players. When Morant drives he just garners too much attention which should open some things up for Jonas tonight on the road in Boston.
Meyers Leonard ($4,000) vs Wizards– Leonard usually starts for the Heat but he doesn’t play the minutes that you would expect from a starter in every game. However he can shoot it very well from behind the arc, 43% this season, and he is active enough in his limited minutes on the glass. He is averaging around 18 FPPG in the last 6 games but against a Wizards team that doesn’t seem to want to play any defense at all I think he should be able to put together a solid game for a guy that is priced this low at $4,000.
